Happy Day

Hi there
how are you doing?
Luckily had some birthday cards to make,
and this weekend there's two friends on the same day.
I got the idea from amyoneillblog.com

I started with the sentiment and dies,
then stamped from Awesomely Artistic the large bouquet, twice.
The sentiment hides the overlap of stamping.
For the second one I got out lots of leaf dies and just played about,
until I was happy with the look.

I added embellishments.....rhinestones, enamel dots etc.,
and spent a long time infilling the die cuts with contrasting snippets.
It was quite fiddly, adding tape on the back, then placing the tiny
die cut bits in the right places!

I hope they both have a happy day today!

I hope you do too :)

I might take the opportunity to visit the Snippets Playground,
as I used various snippets for the die cuts.

  2. These are lovely Lesley and I don't know which I prefer! I know what you mean about infilling dies being fiddly as I did it the other day, but I quite enjoyed it - it was a bit like a puzzle! Have a good weekend, Vicky xxx

  3. WOW - these two are so pretty. If I had to choose, I think (just by a pinch) I'd go for the inlaid die one. Both are lovely though.

  5. These are both lovely. I like the two different designs and it's always great when you get two cards instead of just one. I never think to do that when I have the stamps out.
