Plentiful Plants using snippets

Hands up who has lots of scraps left from their papers?.......me!!

It's always worth visiting Pixie'sCraftyWorkshop where  there's not only lots of ideas,

but also super prizes to be won in the Snippets Challenge......the latest one is HERE

I ran out of time again to enter the Rudolph Challenge.....not doing so well with my christmas cards,

but managed to make a snippets card with some inspiration from Helen Read.

For this I used lots of strips from In Good Taste DSP, snippets from
Bloom Where You're Planted (lots of pots and plants to cut out) and a snippet of a
Paper Lattice, which looks a bit like trellis, great for background interest,
or "hanging" plants on, and is easy to snip into sections.
A few metallic pearls to decorate, and I think this is good for any occasion?

I hope you're having a good weekend, thanks for popping by....
and don't forget to visit Di's challenge blog.

Diorama with Whale Done

Hi there, Today's card is a bit  very busy,

but I felt my other half deserved an over-the-top-took-me-ages kind of card!

My brain struggles with back to front stuff, which is needed to some extent to work out the layers.

The Diorama layers are all Designer Series Paper (retired), and could definitely be improved on their placing, as my light to dark deep blue didn't quite work out.

I did try to keep the larger sea creatures to the foreground, and smaller in the "depths".
I then went over-the-top on the inside panel..........I'll let you know if he liked it or not!!

Have swimmingly good day

Holiday snaps

For something completely different........a few pics from our recent break in Littlehampton..

A cycle ride along the marina........to the promenade

I was really impressed with the artistic shelters and seating areas......
made up of multi coloured slats......a child's climbing dream.....

....and to allow for obstacles like lampposts, the slats ran along the ground, to rise up again
forming the benches and continuing the fun.
Such clever design!!

Diorama in the snow

Hiya, I've been playing with the Layering Diorama Dies, I think these will get a lot of use.

I had this in my head.....layering increasingly deeper blue layers,

and adding my characters on each layer.

I put "snowy hills" behind the first two, for the skier & sledger.
The layers have foam adhesive strips behind them.
A bit of fun, and an attempt to keep cool, in the UK's heatwave.

I'm taking this over to the Snippets Playground, where there's another fabulous prize on offer,
do take a look, as there's loads of ideas for using up your snippets....I used lots of white snippets for my characters, and blue snippets for my layers, as well as using up some snowflakes!

Snowflake Wishes simple stamping

These were inspired by Kim Price ......Handmadebykim.co.uk

Smoky Slate, Basic Grey, Pool Party, Highland Heather, Snowflake Wishes.

The Heather version....

Simple stamping, but wasn't so keen on my dark grey,
so used some die cut snowflakes in white glimmer paper to tone it down.
I added some snowflake sequins after, to add some sparkle

The Pool Party version....

Inside panels..........

Do some simple stamping today!

Another Plentiful Plants

Hello again as promised I'm back with another version of Plentiful Plants

Using In Good Taste paper again, this time an "outdoor room" effect.
I just love the hanging macrame style plant holder, and the different leaves in this set.
The pots were stamped in Calypso Coral this time

Have a Happy Day

Plentiful Plants

 Hello again

I love it when I get a new set to play with,

and this caught my eye straight away in the new Annual Catalogue.....

Plentiful Plants............comes with coordinating dies and paper.

I'd seen someone using grey tones, which I used with In Good Taste paper.

I'm no good at interior decor, but I like to try it on a card.....it's a lot easier to change your mind!
I cut the plant holder in black for contrast, and mounted the greeting on fussy cut black too.

See you tomorrow with another version...........

Email Subscribers

I know I'm not the only one who breaks out in a cold sweat when it comes to technology,

so I'm hoping you will understand that although I've managed ( I think!) to replace the

Feedburner subscription service that is being turned off, with Follow It

some of the steps to transfer subscribers automatically are just stressing me out so much,

that I'm hoping you will subscribe to the new service, or add me to your Reading List.

I seem to post mainly at weekends, so you could just pop in to see me when you can!

I want you to know I really do appreciate your support, and hope you will still visit.

See you back here soon
