White velvet Poinsettias

Today's card uses some spare white velvet poinsettias, die cut from some speciality paper.

The sprigs, flower centres, banner and sentiment were all unused bits in my snippets pile.

The embossed red card was also unloved, but too good to throw.....I knew I'd use it one day ;)

It’s time I entered Rudolph Day challenge, do pay Mo a visit as there’s some fabulous inspiration.

Holly and gold

Another card using up my snippets, this time some holly paper,

a die cut gold panel, two die cut words, and a lonely holly leaf.

I snipped the little sentiment to fit the stripey strip, and added some red gems for berries,
and one for dotting the eye :)

Using up my snippets mountain

Hi there, we went away recently and I was fortunate to be able to take some crafting with me.

I decided to take some unfinished projects, and a stack of snippets, some of which were so tiny but perfect for die cutting small embellishments.

This card evolved from unused sentiments, layered poinsettias and snippets of card,
including the gold strip, and the striped one.
I don’t throw strips away, as they can always be used for something.

It's a good way of using up scraps, especially of expensive card and paper.......die cut them,  using all those little dies.....they'll come in useful one day!
Below are just a few of the snippets left over.
I really enjoyed putting cards together on the hoof using just scraps of paper and card,
it's a great way to get the creative juices flowing.

I’m entering the

Pixie's Snippets Playground - Challenge #412

where there's super prizes, and lots of ideas to use up those snippets !

Quick n simple (2)

 Hello again...............

just sharing another couple of quick cards using Peaceful Place DSP

This is a quarter of the treescape paper, heavily silver foiled.....
I added a die cut christmas from silver foil, and fussy cut the thinking of you....
sadly I seem to require quite a few of these each year.

Next up......using the mottled grey background paper, that's speckled with foil stars,
again just adding a sentiment.....

....to which I applied wink of stella, and a few snowflake sequins for extra sparkle

Hope your day sparkles

Quick n Simple Peaceful Place

Hello, fancy a quick and simple card?

These couldn't be any simpler!

The Peaceful Place DSP is so beautiful it lends itself to making elegant projects.

I just cut this 12 x 12" sheet into 4, giving 6" x 6" , which can then be trimmed.

I added a banner greeting which I glued to a scrap of black and fussy cut a border.
The card blank is also black.
I added a few gems for extra sparkle.
I wish you could see this in real life.........can you spot the difference?
I just used different adhesive gems :)

Have a peaceful day

Allsorts Challenge Week 641 for Kath

 Hello again, thanks for visiting.

Today I'm entering a special challenge in memory of a lady who loved to craft

Allsorts Challenge 641 for Kath

She had already chosen the theme :
Favourite Stamps with the option of Paper Pieced Flowers

I chose "Happy Birthday To You" and did some paper piecing using
Expressions In Ink Speciality Paper.
Kath loved flowers, I don't have many stamps of flowers, but I do love cake :)

I started by stamping the whole image onto white card,
then stamped again on the paper.

I fussy cut the flowers and leaves from green,
then the flowers again from the pink/peach, that I overlaid.
My cake was wonky, so I fussy cut the whole thing,
only to then stick it on the card blank wonky too!!!

Oh well, I blame the cake stand....I focused on that instead of the cake sides.
I added wink of stella to the cake, rhinestones to the flower centres,
and a small twine bow to finish it off.
This set has a lovely font that I love too.

As I cut lots of snippets, I'm hurrying to the Snippets Playground ,
where head prefect Sarn is up to no good!

Scored! with a stencil

Hi there

here's a card I created for a special lad growing up fast.

It came about when I was sorting some old stash and found some stencils.

I thought it would be fun to try something different.

I used a blending brush and two inks to add some shading,
then overstamped the image.

I particularly like the Biggest Wish set, that you can mix and match.
it has some fab fonts.

I went a bit mad inside the card too, but it's all simple stamping and one layer,
not something I do that often

Thanks for stopping by

Stencil and some paste

Hello friends,
here's a christmas card using a shaped card blank and some bits from my stash
I had this treescape in my stash, made with embossing paste that was too good to throw away,
but has taken me a good few years to use............you never do that huh?!
So I added it and a pre cut gold stag to a fancy card blank et voila!
As there was a big space to the right I placed the greeting there.

Happy Weekend!
