Embossed snowdrift

 Two more for the box…

An old SU embossing folder, a snowflake border die from Gummiapan,
an etched snowdrift border from the Greetery, Uniko sentiment.
(Oops took this pic below before adding gems 🙄)

I’m taking this to Allsorts Challenge #796…..sentiment added,
and 52christmas card Throwdown as I’ve used embossing on both pieces.

The next one was cased from Uniko, using their snowflake set, and an old SU embossing folder.

I used the offcut from the first card.
Lightly blended blue ink on the embossing, fussy cut snowflakes and added Rhinestones.

I used WOS on both cards

Have a great weekend

Rudolph Day in August

 Happy Rudolph Day!

Can’t believe another month has swooshed by, but I’ve been busy adding cards to my Christmas stash.

Here’s one using an old SU wreath in old olive, a navy blue circle,

with a Gummiapan Santa hat……..all of which was in my bits box 😃

The hat is cut from glitter paper 😃

Do hop over to Rudolph Days Challenge
where there’s lots of inspiration 😃

Neutral Frosted Forest using designer series paper

I’ve made quite a few cards with the Frosted Forest bundle from SU,

these are simple makes using Winter Meadow DSP (designer series paper).

Perfect for entering the Little Red Wagon challenge #770, asking for neutrals 😃

I added stickles to the tree die cuts, and silver embossed sentiment on vellum.
Trees were cut from shimmery white, smoky slate and grey granite.

Next up, trees from mist moonlight, and night of navy.

Here’s just a few snippets used….so I can hop skip and jump to the

Snippets Playground Challenge #487

Frosted Trees and splats

I’ve been busy in the garden when it’s not too hot 🥵 ,

and in between, I’ve been a busy elf making Christmas cards, as I’m way behind my target.

I am trying not to buy too much new stuff (don’t we all 😂), and being more selective.

I’m really making good use of new sets as a result, and this set was a must have….

Frosted Forest Bundle from Stampin’ Up! gives so many creative possibilities.

If you’re an SU fan, you really MUST look at the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES.

These are new products released periodically that are not in the catalogues. So if you know anyone who relies on the paper catalogue, please do encourage them to look online, because they’re missing out!

Anyway, you really came to see the cards, so here’s a couple….

There’s stamps, dies, and stencils in the Bundle, and these cards  just use one of the dies…
a silhouette of trees and snow/land, which I extended, and added some teeny deer from an old set.
I used a dark blue card base, and splattered it using enamel effects/liquid pearls mixed with a drop of water, and applied with a paint brush flicked against a lid.
I find you get smaller controlled splats if you’re quite close to the card.
Further away they tend to be big splodges, although there’s never a guarantee, 😳 so embrace them, and gently mop big splats with a corner of tissue.

Next is a DL sized black card base with a lot more trees 🌲
This was so simple to do….

I used a similar sized white card piece, cut the trees,
then extended the land by hand cutting in a wonky undulating fashion 😃
Then cut more trees from snippets of card, glueing them behind, altering the heights.
I hope you can see the sheen of the splats, but I also added WOS to the trees for extra sparkle.

Here are just some of the snippets of card used….

I’m taking this to the Snippets Playground, where they have a new challenge #487,

and you just need to hand in your snippets homework…..see you on the swings!

Ducks on vellum

Today’s card uses the charming duck pond paper again.

These papers are bright, so I thought I’d try to tone it down with a scrap rectangle of vellum.

I used scraps of white for the sentiment label, and the teeny waterlily flowers, top left.

The duck was cut from one of the papers too.

I’m sneaking into to the Snippets Playground challenge #486 before the gates clang shut!

Have a good day

Charming Duck Pond

Hello, I’ve a few cards to share using the Charming Duck Pond.

I shared some of the paper with a friend, and fell in love with the suite.

The first one is similar to a sample in the catalogue.

The die cut frame does a lot of the work…

I’m entering this into the Allsorts Challenge “summer”
and Just Us Girls “frame”

Then I simply used the paper as the main feature, adding a few other elements to a sentiment label…

I added a few sequins too…

I’m entering this one into Seize the Birthday challenge “critters”

It’s getting a bit too warm here in Kent, so I hope you’re keeping cool.

Me, I'm going to be in the craft room, with the fan on!

Hope you have a lovely day

Hug in a mug

I’m trying to build my Christmas card stash, here’s a topper I made earlier.

A simple card using a plaid paper 😍, and a cute bear, coloured with watercolour pencils.

Two gold hearts from my bits box

Left over piece decorated the envelope

Have a great day

Winter one sheet wonder

Hi there, hoping all is well with you and yours.

It’s pretty warm in the Uk, and other parts of the world,

so here’s a couple of cooling cards made with simple stamping and added die cuts.

I’ve used the new SU In Colours which are permanently out on the desk at the moment 😍

Had to add a few shiny sequins 😉

Take care
