December Rudolph Day

Hi there, hope this finds you well.

Rudolph day came and went, but there’s always a Christmas card to share, if you make them all year,

and the Rudolph Days Challenge lasts until the end of the month.

Here’s another I made with one of my favourite SU stamp sets, Yuletide Village

to see what others have made.

Take care and see you soon

Voucher wallets

Hello, I hope you had a good Christmas.

I thought I’d pop by with a quick voucher/money pouch, for any occasion,

that uses up that lush paper you’ve been hoarding!

I took a sheet of much loved, retired SU paper, simply cut to width you need, plus allowance for glue/tape/wiggle room, cut to the length you need plus a bit extra x3, and score twice.
Fold to make the pouch. I cut a smidge off the flap, and round the corners.

I cut a tag to match, and tied some lush ribbon around it.

Have a good weekend

Take care and see you soon

Merry Christmas

Just popping by to wish you a happy Christmas.

We shall be popping in to see Alan’s Mum this morning.

Since her husband died she prefers a quiet day.

It seems fitting to share again my late Mum's knitted Nativity.

Alan and I will enjoy a quiet day too,

we also prefer that,

we get together with friends and family on other days,

whereas my sisters are going out for their meal.

We’re all different, but that’s ok.

Whatever you do, be kind to yourself, and others.

Lots of Love

Winter Birdhouses

I like to make my neighbours cards at Christmas,

this year I chose the Country Birdhouse dies with Nests of Winter DSP (SU)

All had extra sparkle with glitter paper and wink of Stella

There was a lot of die cutting, and fussy cutting involved,

here’s some of my snippets left overs…

I’m entering the following challenges:

Snippets Playground #496 (red card, second in the post)

Allsorts week 812/3 (blue card at the top of the post)

It can be a difficult time of year,

but whatever your circumstances take some time for yourself,

and I hope you have a peaceful Christmas.

You’re never alone in blogland, it’s always full of crafty friends 😃

Take care and see you soon

Nostalgic Christmas

Hi, I hope you’re doing ok.

I’m looking forward to Tuesday, when hopefully I can relax a bit!

A kind friend gave me a couple of old paper sets that can be combined to make a card.

I don’t know exactly where they’re from but I know they’re from an established company.

This was my favourite….

You get a thumbnail picture of a finished layout to copy.
I just distressed the layers a bit, and added extras like the gold stars.

The poinsettia Robin one is pretty too…

Very different style for me, but I enjoyed putting them together.

Challenges:

(December, pick a previous theme)
This is the previous theme I chose

Winter Wonderland and a winter feast

This is another card inspired by a dear friend.
She designed the layout, I just tried to do it justice.
She brought a few stamps, I think from Cardio, and I added Santa from an old SU stamp.

Blended the background with ink, using a mask for the snow, made from torn paper.
The rising or setting sun looks more like a bonfire 😂
Added splats and snow on the branches.

We had a festive lunch with my sister and brother in law,
at a new Spanish Restaurant in our village.
It was our first visit, and will not be our last!
Look away if you don’t want to see delicious food!

I’m popping the card over to Stamping sensations December winter challenge

Take care and see you soon

Peaceful Cabin

I’m still making Christmas cards, but these were made last month with a dear friend.

She is generous in so many ways, including with her talent and  craft stash!

The background paper was die cut (Chloe I think), partially cutting poinsettias.

I used SU Peaceful Cabin….stamped and diecut.
I had stamped direct and made a pigs ear of it!
I also stamped subtle snowflakes on the paper.

I’m taking this to the Peace On Earth challenge #78

I liked the look of the happy accident, so went with the trees from the same set next.

The poinsettias had tiny foam pads a under the petals to keep them raised,
and lots of glitter was added to both.

I’m taking this to the Allsorts Challenge #811, anything goes.

Take care and see you soon

Rudolph Tags

Whooshing by to say Hi, as I have a couple of Challenges I need to enter  before I forget 😃

Quick Gift Tags were the order of the day, so I picked out a tag die ( mini pocket envelope SU),

and using SU paper Reindeer Days, and Reindeer Fun dies.

Also used an SU stitched rectangle die to pop inside.

I did add ribbon!

I used lots of snippets, and remembered to take a photo!
Weather as dull as dishwater….

Have a good weekend!

Challenges…..
Snippets Playground #495 must use snippets

Allsorts Challenge #810 It’s beginning to look like Christmas

Puppy Kiss

Hi there, hope your Christmas preparations are going well.

I’m having a short break from it to share this…

It’s a winter birthday card, using some SU paper background,
and a Penny Black wooden stamp Puppy Kiss.

As it’s for a birthday, I die cut some flowers, stamped and cut an extra paw,
to cover the mistletoe. I coloured the bobble hat to match the flowers.

Challenges….
Penny Black SaturdayChallenge, Winter Wonderland, or anything goes.

P.s. I did a software update on my tablet, and now Blogger is throwing up posts from years ago (average 6 to 9!),

Is it just me?!

Take care and see you soon
