Sue

I got this idea from the Stampin' Up! Catalogue...
I stamped the border, using the Oh Hello set,
and made a tag that I embossed on the Scoreboard.
Added some cute buttons, ribbon and mini safety pin.
This is a cute idea that can be simply adapted to suit any card

Jan

I did chuckle making this one!
I've got a whole packet of googly eyes, hardly used!
I inked and embossed the 'tree'.....punched a hole for mr owl to peek out from,
added some pretty leafy paper, and a couple of brads....not forgetting the eyes teehee...

Daphne

I like this vintage card.......
and the little image from Collage Curios matches the pretty paper.
Added some ruffled ribbon.....
and squashed a bottle top in the Bigshot! now that was fun!
I also inked around the greeting banner to make it 'pop' more.

George

I had a lot of fun doing this one.
The background is created by inking up an acrylic block.
I over stamped some fave images in early espresso ink.
I then decided to add some more detail.....
I drew around the squares with a marker pen....
a purposely  squiggly line, to make it easy!
Then added some circles die cut from the petite pocket, and inked to match.
I inked the greeting with marker pens, to match the colours too!

team day cont....

Well here it is at last!
I finally got round to taking a pic of Liz's swap,
but sincere apologies for my photography not doing it justice!

It's a really pretty wall-hanging that must have taken ages,
because each section had to be crafted individually.
Ever so sweet...you will just have to drop by and see it for yourself!
Hope you are having a good weekend!

team day cont...

The gift from Ros contained some yummy chocolate!
It's a cute box, stamped and topped with a flower and ribbon bow..
Then, completely above and beyond the call of duty!....
she presented us with this lovely card!
So lovely, and can you see the embossed and pierced detail on the green base?

team day cont...

Here's Jan's lovely gift...
It's a post-it note holder, with Jan's flair for simple and elegant,
and an uncanny knack of discovering sentiments I've never even noticed!

team day cont....

Here's Ros's 'make'...
which was also a lot of fun to make..
The framelit was embossed with the clouds folder,
raindrops added in grey ink.
We stamped and cut the umbrella in melon mambo, adding some gloss, and
added the Sunshine and Sprinkles papers.
Ros had printed the greeting for us,
which we cut and matted onto melon mambo card.
This is bound to cheer up anyone under the weather!

team day cont....

I'd best do the 'makes' first, as I've still not taken a pic of Liz's swap!
So, here's Jan's....
Such an elegant card, the pic does not do justice.
Oval embossed card, stamped oval added.
Punched border, paper ribbon, pearl, plus itty jewel tag label.
Jan has the knack of elegance and CAS, don't you think?

team day cont...

I've just realised I forgot to take a pic of Liz's swap....
probably because it was so cute, I hung it up on the wall!
So, I'll share her 'make' instead!
We had a lot of fun with this!
Ripping the branch shape, and embossing it...
stamping the wood-grain background....
punching the cute owl, which we then inked around the edges,
added some punched leaves, and a cute greeting from the itty banners.
Good one Liz!

Team day

I shared my swap,
now for my 'make'.....
you may have seen this before...
We did the little box on the right,
which is perfect for putting some money in, or something small.
It's based on the Petite Pocket from Stampin' Up!,
but with some strategic scoring and cutting,
it changes shape completely!
Add a band of pretty paper, and some ribbon.
Dawn O from Stampin' Up! supplied the template.

simple Hello

Here's a card that you could send to someone just to say 'Hello'
I sometimes send a card to someone I've not seen in a while, to cheer someone up,
or simply because I can!
You'd be amazed at how something so simple can mean such a lot to someone.
So, do it! Send a card just because you can!

Adhere some DSP to the base of the card, add some more as a border....
cut the oval out with a die, add a bow to the front.
Turn the cut-out oval over, stamp, sponge the edges with ink,
stick to the inside....done!

Lelly Jelly Buttons

Here's a card I made for a very special lady...

I die cut an oval with the framelits, onto a 3-fold card....
embossed the oval shape with 2 smaller ovals
(ask if you want to know 'how'!)
added the sentiment, some itty bitty flowers and rhinestones...
threaded some buttons onto linen thread,
and encased the threads in the 3rd layer.
This was inspired by the amazing window display at Hoop in Tenterden.
The added bonus, is the recipient can use the buttons afterwards!
The buttons were naughty ones though...
they refused to stay face forward, but still a pretty effect....

starlets playtime

What a fantastic day with some fellow starlets!
We flung the doors open wide, birds singing, sun shining, lots of chatter,
and lots of crafting loveliness !!!!!!!!
Everyone made such a fantastic effort to bring amazing swaps and makes n takes,
we even had a postal make from our adopted Sarn, who couldn't be with us today!

Here's my swap, a gift card holder, in the form of a matchbook,
with a scallop envelope inside, in which to place the card/money...

and a close up of the envelope, attached with brads
the envelope has it's side left open to receive the card...
I can't claim this idea however,
it came from Mary Brown aka stampercamper.com
I love the idea that you can do a matching card, to make a very special gift for someone.

There'll be more lovely projects to follow soon!

Another Pinwheel

Here's a pinwheel card I did as my make n take at a team day a while back.
I thought it was a suitable card for anyone,
but in this case I hoped it made my brother-in-law smile.

Sunshine & Sprinkles paper again from Stampin' Up!
A touch of ribbon and a brad as finishing touches.

Patio Party

I've felt papercraft-challenged recently!
What with classes, a wedding, birthdays, an up-coming team day,
and the rest life throws at us!
So this card was inspired by the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper, Patio Party.

It looks a bit non gender specific on here, so I'm glad I added a girly butterfly.
(Did you spot it?!)
The colours are very pleasing to the eye....Midnight Muse being one,
which I haven't used much yet, but I think you may be seeing it a lot!

Pinwheel Birthday

Here's another simple pinwheel card, in some very cheery colours

Stampin' Up! Sunshine and Sprinkles is such a gorgeous Designer Series Paper
it makes me smile every time I use it!
I wanted a 'postable' pinwheel this time, so instead of using a brad,
I punched a small circle for the centre.

How many of you get fed up with having to think of postal costs when making cards???
I'ts such a shame, but sometimes it costs more than the card!!!!
