Rudolph Day in May

It's that time of the month again....25th.....
which means it's time to make a couple of cards for Rudolph Day Challenge,
and 52 CCT (christmas card throwdown)

Here's what I made using the new In Colours from Stampin' Up!.
Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaron on Naturals Ivory Card

I tried a shaped card using the Circle Framelits,
made a circle frame, and made up a little scene

I inked some areas with a sponge dauber,
fussy cut house and tree,
and added seam binding ribbon

Same die, different shape slightly

Tried a wreath with Painted Petals.....
didn't turn out as good as I'd imagined (as usual!)

So I added some punched Itty Flowers from snippets of card.
I love how I can stamp some of the Painted Petals and punch them out.

Added a bow with a snippet of ribbon,
and seeing as I used lots more snippets,
I'll pop over to the Snippets Playground, as I haven't been to play for aaaaaages,
and there's an awesome prize to win ;)

Happy Bank Holiday Monday

  5. Clever use of the big scalloped circle for your base card. I like the circle frame with the little scene behind it, and the added flowers give some nice dimension to the wreath. Kate x

  10. Two very adorable cards, and while I'm loving your 'scene' card, with the frame detail, I also very much like the wreath. It looks very arty & watercolor-y (is that a word?). It's very cheery with the bright colors, and you did a great job with it. Not sure why you didn't like it, but I surely do. The big red bow did add in a lot of emphasis, and it's a grand card.
