Stitched Butterflies

Hello, thanks for calling by again !

Here to share a couple of cards made at craft club recently

the first has pierced border and Butterfly trails
(freehand, with help from a stencil)

the second has stitched detail......OMG I had SUCH fun
on the sewing machine !
Probably because I'm  not-very-good-at-sewing,
I found it really easy to wizzzz wonnnnnky lines.
I deliberately did a wonky border
(you DO believe me don't you?!)

a few punched butterflies,
and two simple cards

Have a SUPER Saturday

February Rudolph Day

It's 25th again, and you know what that means?
YAY!
It's RUDOLPH DAY!

One challenge I try to never miss is

It's simple:
make a christmas card and share it

Here's mine:

I was so lucky to win a prize over at the
Snippets Playground
( hope Miss Di can see I've used an older prize too ;)
....to do with sediment as Darnell would say.... )

and I can't stop playing with it!
Note the stitched border frames,
that oh-so-cute stamp

I did that out-of-the-box thing
(well, I tried....)
where you cut around the bits that hang over the die....

here's a close-up......it's sparkly anyway.....

my trio of triumph for the xmas box!

If you come back tomorrow I can bore you with a couple more!

Bloomin' Heart for a friend

Last in the class of dies-with-a-twist
just a pretty composition with the
Bloomin' Heart die and some added flowers

The flowers and sentiment are all in the coordinating
stamp set Bloomin' Love

I used a snippet of pool party for the heart
and some snippets of white,

so I'm going to climb the treehouse
in the Snippets Playground to see if there's any booze  cordial left.
We'll have to behave though as Miss isn't well and that prefect Dick Orum
will be looking out for trouble makers!
Do follow if you'd like to see lots more inspiration by some talented playmates!

Have a good week

Oval heart

Continuing the die-wth-a-twist theme
I think I got this idea from remarkablycreated.com

Die cut the Bloomin' Heart,
place behind an aperture

add an easter greeting from Suite Sayings

Here's the light shining through....
simple but effective, do you agree?

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend

Bold Butterfly Bloomin' Heart

I did a class showing the versatility of Dies
and the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit Dies are so pretty

Here we cut a Bold Butterfly from the detailed filigree heart

layered it onto a solid Bold Butterfly and stamped a simple greeting
all in a monochrome fashion

The idea was from Kirsteen Gill a very talented lady

I think I might see who's on the swings in the Snippets Playground,
as I've used lots of snippets on all these cards,
and there's a prefect in charge while Miss is away
so you know the saying "while the cat's away" teehee....

I hope you can pop by tomorrow for another die-with-a-twist

Gift Box

I was very lucky to receive this from a friend...

such a cute box, and a real surprise inside.....

A tealight candle of the cutest kind!
It looks so real, just like a little miniature Iris bulb.
I still can't believe it's not real!

Love you Sew

This is an idea from
the Crafty Owl

These were my team swaps.....
I thought they made a cute card and gift combined

I love this new Hostess set
Love You Sew

Envelope Punch Board makes the indent
for the Bakers Twine

Button added from my stash,
Gold Wink of Stella on scissors

confession : it wasn't until I saw this on Pinterest
that I realised the little cross stitch segments were heart shaped doh...

You could use a similar style for gifts of twine, or ribbon snippets

Have a good week

Look who's turned 5...

....Finally I got round to using my new
Large Numbers Yay!!!

Had Large problems with the light and my photography

so this might be a bit picture heavy...

I added Wink of Stella to the 5,
and some silver thread to the balloon

added some balloons and spare swirls to the inside..

I think I may have cased this from Kirsteen Gill....
my notes are as fuzzy as my photos!

Sew Many Thanks

I made some treat bags
(they actually look like one sheet of paper)
and some tags
with one of the new Hostess sets
in the spring/summer mini
called Love You Sew

I actually hacked carefully cut some of the words
so that I could interchange them with others
without the faff of trying to ink part of a sentiment

These were little gifts for my customers who ordered last month
and made the most of the current Sale-a-Bration
free gifts and special offers

Have a wonderful weekend
Happy Crafting

Double Rose

Morning!

Had some gold foil petals I couldn't possibly throw away

So I added them to blackberry bliss and our thick whisper white cardstock,
gold embossing the sentiment.
Simple but luxurious.

Watercolour Rose Wonder

Happy Sunday!

Here's one I made for my Sister.

Die-cut the rose twice from gold foil sheets,
adhered to Shimmery white card,
and water coloured using aqua painter brush
and shades of yellow and green ink.

I added touches of gold wink of stella,
then painted clear wink of stella all over

I used the stamp to add a rose image to the inside and envelope
