Otters encircled

I used awesome otters for these cards.

The one below uses left over snippets from the card that follows, and snippets from my stash.

Therefore I must enter the Snippets Playground challenge!

Some time ago I white embossed on black some sentiments,
And kept in a small box….handy for a quick fix.
I also keep die cut shapes from scraps, such as the scalloped circle,
And keep them in a box to use for focal points or sentiments.

His hat is either being blown by the wind, or he’s been jumping up and down ;)
Hmmmm was there a party in the treehouse?

Decorated inside too, with his hat on properly ;)
Or maybe he’s had coffee from the treehouse bar, after the party.
(You must visit the Playground to see what mischief there is!)

This one uses Marbellous paper, die cut a circle,
Stamped Otter on white card to fit behind the paper.
Can you see the epoxy “water droplets”?

This was inspired by Emma Goddard, who runs a fab card and cuppa online.
I hope you enjoyed these awesome otters today.
I ended up doing it in a few different colours :)

Look who's turned 5...

....Finally I got round to using my new
Large Numbers Yay!!!

Had Large problems with the light and my photography

so this might be a bit picture heavy...

I added Wink of Stella to the 5,
and some silver thread to the balloon

added some balloons and spare swirls to the inside..

I think I may have cased this from Kirsteen Gill....
my notes are as fuzzy as my photos!

Ladybird

Here's another cute project from Liz
 A cute Ladybird card....

Lots of embossing.....woodgrain for the background,
dotty leaves, cute buttons,
all put together with some clever ways of using our ordinary punches......
circles and the antennae are bird punch branches!

Ladybirds are our gardening friends, so I love this one!

Stampin' Up! Owl Punch

Starry starry night........

I'd seen a couple of cards like this on Pinterest, and just had to have a go!
Two owls  and two branches punched from black card,
a circle for the moon.....
Then I got out my white gel pen to highlight........hmmmm
it didn't look quite right, so I got out my white ink pad instead,
daubed a halo around the moon, and around the edges of the owls.
I then made some tiny dots with the gel pen......hmmmmm.....should have been more random.....
hmmmm....added some glitter glue dots on top.....shame I smudged some, and made a shooting star.
Lots of hmmmm-ing and lots of room for improvement,
but it was fun trying!
.
I totally love the concept though, don't you?

Queen of Cupcakes

A very dear friend had a special birthday yesterday,
and she makes wonderful cupcakes.

I had some of this lovely paper left, (cupcakes and cherries),
decided to go with a flip card
(one of my fave dies at the mo!)
and then found a sentiment that fitted perfectly!

Here's the 'flip' side.
I think I added some paper to the back of the oval.......but after I took a pic!
I used my FREE GIFT, the Banner Punch,
to hang some bunting (which my friend makes too...proper material ones though!),
then added some more punched 'cherries'.

More rain forecast tonight.....well it is Tuesday,
and Alan's due to walk to his darts match,
so he will probably get wet....as usual ....on Tuesdays!

Monthly swap

Flower Shop meets Summer Silhouette.

A group of us are doing a monthly postal swap
organised by Sarn, who's fab blog can be seen HERE...
Do check out her Sarntangles and Sarndangles!

So this was the swap I made last month
(where DID January go?!?!?!)
I stamped and then masked each flower,
so that one appears in front and the others behind.
I then did a shadow line around them with a marker pen.
This enhances the 3-D effect (hopefully!).

The little sentiment has been die-cut
with one of the many extras from the Thinlits flip card dies.
Rhinestones add some bling :)

Circle Thinlit Shaker

I had to make a monthly swap, so decided to try out my new Circle Thinlit.
This die cuts a card base to make a swing or flip card with ease!

It cuts and scores, so all I had to do was fold and decorate.
I decided to do a shaker, using the Hexagon Punch, and Festive Flurries Stamp Set,
all from Stampin' Up!

Here's the back of the 'swing' section...where you can add a sentiment or decoration

Another view of the front, with chunky glitter in the shaker window
