Hidden message

Hello friends
Happy World Card Making Day!

I needed a quick card to welcome a new neighbour,
faffed about as usual, and ended up using an old stamp called Cozy Cottage.

I had thought of using the large letters dies,
then doing the hidden message technique.
I started by positioning the letters temporarily,
but ended up stamping the house again on a new piece.

It was so detailed, there were too many missing bits,
and even though I tried filling 'em in,
I think it looks better like this.
I did add a bit of fine liner (eg end of path),
in fact I've been inspired by Vicky Hayes to not be afraid to do this!
I'm so glad she's back blogging, are you?!
If you don't know already, do hop over to her blog, you'll love it!
Obviously had to add a heart "smoke"

I'm getting a bit clean and simple lately.....who'd have thought?!

  1. Love this card. The cottage stamp works so well with the home word. Brilliant how you have stamped underneath too. Hugs Mrs A.

  2. AWESOME new home card Lesley. Worked out really well despite a couple of hiccups along the way. Good for you on getting out of your comfort zone and adding to the card with a fine liner pen.

    Happy days!

  3. This is fabulous Lesley! I love that stamp (it must've appeared while I was away!) and I really like that you left it uncoloured - it makes the heart 'smoke' embellishment pop :) Your fineliner additions are seamless too. Yes, I am glad that Vicky is back blogging again ;) I love my bloggy pals! xxx
