Mothering Sunday

The history…..

Mothering Sunday originated in the 16th century as a religious tradition on the fourth Sunday of Lent (Mid-Lent Sunday), encouraging people to visit their "mother church"—the main cathedral or parish where they were baptized. It later evolved into a day off for servants to visit their mothers and families.

20th Century Revival: The tradition had declined but was revived in the early 1900s, partly inspired by the American Mother's Day.

Modern Traditions: While rooted in visiting the home church, it has become a day for honoring mothers, often involving church services, flowers, and gifts. 

I got the SU Hobby Haven designer series papers a while ago, which covers a lot of hobbies, 

and is so useful for personalising cards.

This is for a special Mum who still nurtures her family, with love and baking 😃😍

She loves reading, knitting, gardening, drinking tea, and other hobbies too.

Some images are on a pre cut sheet, the others I fussy cut.

I decide to just throw it all on!.
