Forever Gold Negative

 Hello again

I'm glad you came back to see the results of the Brushos.

I laid some card under the previous die cut, to get a negative image,

and this was the result.

I added another gold foil die cut to the corner,

on top of a Highland Heather frame using the stitched rectangles

and tucked these leaves under the frame, adding a sentiment.
I cut the stitched scalloped rectangle down, and lined up the edges with the frame.

Forever Gold and Brushos

 Hello there

I did a lovely workshop using the Forever Gold laser cut foils,

and decided to add more ways to use these delicate designs.

One side is white, the other gold, but we were shown ideas using the white side,
which inspred me to spritz with water and Brushos.

It did buckle, but lay it flat, gently pat and leave to dry.

I loved the effect, then grabbed another design to see what it would look like.

I liked the layered effect, so carefully overlaid the gold on top,
using tiny bits of foam to raise it and create depth.

It looked good against Purple Posy card stock,
and I found a sentiment in my scraps box, that went perfectly.
It did look better in real life ;)

Come back to see what I did with the "waste"..... :)

Take care

Beautiful You and Brusho

This was a special make for my sister.

I stamped the girl, heat embossed her, then covered her with masking fluid.
I also placed a 'moon' mask, then added the Brusho,
dragging a bit across it with an aquapainter.

After rubbing off the masking fluid, I coloured her in with marker pens,
although I wasn't very pleased with that, could have done it better.

I decided to heat emboss the sentiment in white on black card,
and cut at an angle.

I used Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant card.
I decorated the inside, but forgot to take a pic !

Working with Brusho by Stampin' Up!

I love playing with Brusho........
it's like a powder paint that always amazes me when you add water..........
the particles have different colours, that when combined give you the colour on the pot,
but if you add a small amount of water you get a speckled effect.....
every time you get a different effect.

We experimented at a recent class, and made 2 cards.
The first is a background, made by sprinkling the Brusho, and spritzing with water.
The second, cased from Judy May, is watercoloured, mixing the Brusho with water, using a paint brush.

The "explosion" was pure fluke, I just turned the piece of card around to suit,
the circles are stamped with Playful Backgrounds, and the epoxy "bubbles" add cute detail.
The label used Tabs for everything, punched a circle and scalloped circle

I watercoloured the basket of flowers, adding shading, and some shadow underneath,
to "ground" the basket so it's not floating mid air.
I added the Sweet Soiree paper to the yellow card, then ran both through the Bigshot
using the new Basketweave embossing folder.
The butterfly is from the same Blossoming Basket set, and fussy cut.
We decorated the insides, and envelopes using Rose Wonder, Bloomin' Love,
and an old Papermania stamp set.

Have a look at this video from Stampin' Up!.............
