Elegant ladies

 Hi there

I often want to enter challenges, but invariably am far too late by the time I get round to making something that’s relevant.

Today’s cards are simple, and were meant to fulfill the “elegant” criteria on the

All sorts Challenge Blog

So instead I’m entering them into their new challenge….”I love”

Because I LOVE Stamping!

I really do. I’ve tried all sorts (pun intended teehee ) of crafts but I get the most fun from stamping.

I stamped simple backgrounds, having stamped and masked the ladies,
Then paper pieced their outfits with some of the marble paper, that’s free during sale a bration.
.

Navy, blue, black and white….

Navy, pink, black and white.

I’m also entering the Dichromatic challenge at Seize the Birthday.
I’d never heard that word, but it’s using two colours with optional neutrals,
Which in this case are black and white.

I have two birthdays coming up for two ladies, so these will do nicely.
I didn’t feel sentiments were necessary, so I just did those inside.

I hope you are safe and well, with all that’s going on in this world.

Beautiful You and Brusho

This was a special make for my sister.

I stamped the girl, heat embossed her, then covered her with masking fluid.
I also placed a 'moon' mask, then added the Brusho,
dragging a bit across it with an aquapainter.

After rubbing off the masking fluid, I coloured her in with marker pens,
although I wasn't very pleased with that, could have done it better.

I decided to heat emboss the sentiment in white on black card,
and cut at an angle.

I used Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant card.
I decorated the inside, but forgot to take a pic !

Beautiful You

I used Beautiful You for this one.

I stamped the chair from Mediterranean Moments,
then roughly cut a mask.

I then got the stampa ma jig out so I could position the lady with her hand on the chair.
I know it looks a bit like she's stood in the plant pot!

I gently watercoloured the image and layered it up with coordinatling card.

Have a Beautiful You Sunday

Mirror Mirror on the wall....

.......who is the fairest of them all....?

you know who you are Birthday Girl,

I confess I didn't have much time, but I know she loves this stamp set,
Beautiful You
and I was planning my next class, which is based around the Reflection or Mirror Image Technique.

I used Oval dies for the mirror frame, and the bow from
Window Box Framelits to make the stand.

the reflection was a tad fuzzy, but I watercoloured both images with ink and wink of stella.

Baby wipe a background

I showcased the baby wipe technique at a class recently,
and I gave a quick demo of how you can use one to pick up ink,
and swipe it across card to make backgrounds

It makes a nice soft effect, and you can build up the colour,
mix them and then you can use your multi coloured wipe again,
by laying some card onto it, and transferring the ink.

I ran out of time to experiment more!

This one's a simple card that will come in useful for something...

Beautiful You

Some more swaps based on a very very popular set...

Fiona Harris
I love how she picked out just the word "dance".....why didn't I think of that?!

Lesley Lendon
Lelly has popped the lady with pink and glitter

here's a close up, and you can see the embossed hearts hopefully too...

Brighter Days to come

This is another Sarn-enabling creation using her stencil to create the circles
(you can easily make your own using punches or dies)
and she showed how to put a shadow around each edge which makes it more 3-D

I then added an image from Beautiful You, and coloured her in.
I then smudged a bit, so inked round the edges to disguise my grubby finger mark!

Wishing You Many Brighter Days

Beautiful You in Delightful Dijon

Not a colour I would normally try, but I think it really worked with this card
(mind you.....I suspect ANY colour looks good with this Stamp Set)

I used paper piecing, colouring with pens, and using the brush stroke as a background.

Hope you are having a Delightful Dijon Day

Beautiful You in Blue

This was my first attempt at a pop up and twist card,
and it has to be my favourite

I made it for my sister who teaches Medau keep fit classes,
in fact she is
Choreographer, Senior Trainer and Teacher of Movement, Dance, Exercise

they use balls and hoops and scarves and that kind of thing

I winked the balls to make them shine

I used the mirror image technique with my stamp-a-ma-jig
and coloured with the old SU Blender pens

I don't often get this kind of comment " Absolutely wonderful birthday card you have made"

this is one of their displays
Image may contain: 1 person

This is one of my sister's events, email if you want any more info:

Image may contain: 6 people, text
Hope you are enjoying the weekend

Beautiful You

I have made a number of cards using the Beautiful You Stamp Set
that has taken the world by storm.....stamping wise anyway!

Using a very popular of-the-moment fancy fold
pop-up-and-twist (comes by various other names too:) )

This one's Watermelon Wonder
and all were inspired by a shoe box swap from Linda Kasparian

See her original version on her blog

Pop by for more and have a happy weekend

Beautiful You in the Mediterranean

I'd wanted to try this out  ever since I saw it.....

I stamped the lady, masked her off with a sticky note,
then stamped the scene over the top.
Remove the mask and you are left with the first image in the foreground.

I then had fun colouring it in with pencils.

If you'd like to order these sets online,
you can claim a free gift for every £45 you spend,
