Mixed Borders

 Hello again

some more simple cards again today, using some pretty poppy papers,

with just a few embellishments of ribbon, trim and sequins.

I often overlook sets when looking for sentiments for example.
You don't have to use them in the way they were intended, like Mixed Borders.
Is anyone finding this new Blogger an "improvement" ?
It's driving me nuts!!!!

Thanks for visiting

It Starts With Art Snippets & Mixed Borders

Hello again
I love the Snippets Playground, at Pixie's Crafty Workshop,
and made a card using lots of Snippets.
Strips of paper form the backdrop, on top of a stamped  base.
I then added a stamped strip, inked using daubers to get two-tone.
I then cut two fancy border strips from more snippets.

I added some die cuts using snippets of card for the faux buttons.
I love the press studs cut from silver foil, so made a few extras
using the tiniest of snippets ever!.............hate to waste foil/expensive card!
I'm off to visit the Playground.....do join me!

Sending Hugs

Happy New Year 2017

Happy Happy New Year !

I needed some birthday cards,

some thank you cards,

and a shoe box swap

and they had to be quick and simple,
embossed with butterflies and cut in two,
above and below a stamped 'mixed border',
added some enamel shapes and coloured in the flowers with markers.
I did melon mambo, calypso coral, wisteria wonder and pool party.
Probably should have tied some ribbon around?

I hope you enjoy a restful day,
and may this year bring all you wish for

Mixed Borders

I love the mixed borders,
did one a while back, and there's a gap specifically left for the sentiment

tried a couple of different layouts

did a continuous border top and bottom of the first card,
can you guess where the join is?!

dinky flowers come in very useful, as do butterflies, don't they?!
Hope you are having a good weekend

Thank you in the borders

Hello everyone,
I've been struggling to find blog-time recently,
but I'm trying to get back on track,
so thanks for taking the time and visiting  me.

To start the week I'm sharing a thank you card
using Mixed Borders, a stamp set that is probably going to be overlooked,
which is a shame because it's awesome!

It has oh so pretty border images,
that can be combined and used in so many different ways,
but the most awesome thing, I only found out AFTER I'd ordered it!

It is designed to leave a gap to place a sentiment.
This is something I don't think I've seen before ,
have you?
This is going to be a definite favourite!

I stamped on scrap and fussy cut so I could decoupage the little flowers.

Have a good week
happy crafting
