Thanks! I got a bit carried away.....

We did a sketch challenge recently...it was a simple one....
so I had a play.....and got carried away.....

cased this from the new catalogue...

did my own background with a new stamp set....

turned it upside down....

punched some corners...

different corners.....

I really enjoyed using Vintage Leaves, using vellum, using up some DSP,
and having a play!

Hope you enjoyed them too!

Cherry or Chesnut.....

These little cards were fun to make out of various snippets.

I embossed a large piece with Woodland EF,
then cut it into 4..

I used some of the very delicate gold thread around the stalks

Remembrance Day....

.........and some very important birthdays.

Here's one of my cards for one of them

Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay and Whisper White.
Gold embossed with Vintage Leaves,

Here's the process.....

Stamped and die cut some scraps using gold EP to make leaves

scrunched 'em and curled 'em
added background splats n stuff from Gorgeous Grunge.
 and arranged 'em around greeting.....

(not sure I did it very well....I tried dropping them from above to get random,
but that didn't look right either lol)

was lacking something, so added some stars,
then tried out my new corner punch....

then mounted them on coordinating card.

The easy coordination with Stampin up is what attracted me
in the first place, and it makes everything quick n easy.

well, maybe not everything lol....

Certainly not clean n simple,
bit too much, but hey I enjoyed the process,
and hopefully will make the recipients smile!

Lots of snippets means a trip to the Playground.....

Edited to add a link to the Sweet Stampin' Challenge...
(thanks to Maarit)

Maybe Hazel...

I love this almost heart shaped leaf...

I stamped Lovely as a Tree onto white card after cutting out the leaves with framelits,
and snippets of Bermuda Bay for the Tiny Tags sentiment

the little yellow leaves are from our silver birch...

Oak

I'm pretty sure this is an Oak leaf?

I used the Woodland embossing folder,
lightly highlighted the raised bits with some
matching Tip Top Taupe ink

Vintage Leaves sparkle and splats

Have I mentioned I like Vintage Leaves yet?

I saw a similar colour combo while blog hopping,
can't remember where of course!

I dug out some sparkly embossing powder,
and used Blackberry Bliss and Bermuda Bay card.
Gorgeous Grunge used on background,
and cute corners using the new corner punch.

Lots of snippets used for leaves and stars,
off to see who's in the Playground....

Plane to see......

I needed some thank you's for my lovely customers,
and thought I would try and collect some coordinating leaves,
whilst I was sweeping some up....

I realised that Vintage Leaves could be from a variety of trees,
or it could be I'm just rubbish at identifying them.
(I used to be a village tree warden, and was rubbish at that too :) )

So......this could be a Plane, or Acer maybe?

These leaves are from my Viburnum....

These from oak hedge.....

Feel free to chip in if you think I'm barking up the wrong tree....!

Lots of snippets used so I'm off to play in the

Leaflet

This one uses the dinky little leaf,
that I think might be my favourite.
I do like simple little things......

This again uses the same colours of Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive,
although my photographic skills make it appear black.

I hope I haven't bored you too much
with all the similar ones this week,
but just to prove they're all slightly different....

Have a fab weekend!

Many thanks

Slightly different to yesterdays,
more scored lines,
and some snippets of card to layer up the leaves,
and a snippet of linen thread to tie it all together.....

I've been playing, but short on time,
so went with what was on the desk,
so hope you're not too bored yet,
there's a couple more to come!

My last visit to the Playground this week,
as I'm grounded for a few days lol.

Feel Better

Love Sassy Salutations for sentiments just that bit different,
including this get well alternative.

Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive was on the table,
and you must know the set by now?!

Stamped a row of leaves between scored lines
(that you can hardly see),
a die cut one raised on dimensionals,
and added some thick twine.

Hippity Hop to the Playground again
with the card and twine snippets.....

New Weekly Deals out today too,
so lots of feel good factor !

Hello

I needed to send a card to a Gent who's moved to a new house,
just to say we are thinking of him.

I took a snippet of Neutrals paper stack,
some snippets of old olive and blackberry bliss,
and a few stamped and die cut leaves.

Perfect for a gent, and for the time of year.
Have I mentioned I LOVE this set?!
Vintage Leaves.....awesome.

Lots of snippets mean a hop skip n jump to the Playground!

Vintage Leaves

Have I told you how much I love this set yet?!
It often happens, that when I finally get a new set out of the box,
I can't put it away!

For a friend who loves the great outdoors and walking...

I inked a piece of card, die-cut leaves, added more ink round edges,
gathered and made a 'bouquet'.
I cut strip of burlap in half, pulled out some threads to make a frill,
used the threads to tie a knot.

Lots of bits used here, so off to the Snippets Playground!

Lovely as a Tree Vintage Leaf

Was at High Halden craft club,
limited palette of inks,
and possibly my favourite stamp set of all time
Stampin' Up!'s Vintage Leaves

In case the pic is so awful, there's green, purple and brown,
so I grabbed similar pro-markers and coloured a leaf to match,
added a linen thread bow, purple heart (using owl punch),
and simple sentiment.

Going to make this number 3 of the autumn challenges,
and hop skip to the  Snippets Playground.
Then, I really, really, must do some blog hopping.
Anyone got any spare time for sale?

Vintage Leaf meets Lovely as a Tree

The lovely Sarn shared a project recently,
that inspired this one.
I did this technique a long time ago,
but Sarn went to one of Eileen's workshops,
and as usual Eileen has taken it to another level.

Ink a bright....very bright..... background,
black out surrounding area and stamp into the shape.
I chose the all time favourite Stampin' Up! stamp set ever
(Lovely as a Tree), into the shape made with Leaflets Framelits.
I then stamped the edges of black with some little leaves from
Perpetual Birthday Calendar.

Anyone know the name of this technique?
Is it black magic?

May as well enter the same autumnal challenges again!

Vintage Leaves canvas

Hello you
thanks for stopping by.
I have something slightly different to share today....
my first completed canvas

I found it harder to stamp on, so did lots I wasn't happy with,
but it was fun to have a go, and much less 'scary' than I anticipated!

It takes a long time to dry properly, but meant I could lift off some ink
with some paper towel.
I added gold embossing powder, some burlap,
stamped and die cut leaves,
and ws going to top it all with a wooden button.......
I'd bought some a while ago.....
couldn't find them.....
so used the button!

I went to a book signing, and the author sent me an embroidered button,
how cool was that?!
Do check out www.whatdelilahdid.com

I'm entering Penny Black, warm autumn colours with this,
and hopping over to Snippets Playground too...

Hope your week is going well....
see you soon
