in two fun colours

I love the offset layers, or jaunty angle!

The black layers and white embossed sentiment on black really make them pop

Simple but effective!

I did the last one straight instead of jaunty...

as I know some people can't abide wonky!

Free as a Bird

Hi there

Today I'm sharing some makes with Free as a Bird

I paired Detailed Laser cut paper with some of the paper from the birds set

Fussy cut some focal points, adhered to a label with sentiment

You have to work with the lacy paper. so the back doesn't show all the messy bits

Balloon Celebration

Hello!

Hope all's well in your world.

I went to Kim Fee's Craft Retreat in May,

you must go if you can....places sell out fast!

Among the awesome projects, we made these cuties....

First an easel card with a twist

here's a side view.....

Then this cute party banner (below top), and treat box (below bottom)

I just adore this banner, and Kim found the perfect straws to match the colours

The clever things was that we made 3 toppers the same/similar for all 3 projects!

Botanical Butterflies, Cushions and Curtains

Hi there

I hope all is well with you and yours....

Ever since I bought new curtains and cushions I've been wanting to copy the idea.

Below is a cushion, embroidered with a few butterflies,

the curtains also have a few butterflies with a watercolour effect

I tried different methods to try and replicate....Blend pens,

watercolour and using wink of stella with inks.

The Botanical Butterfly DSP has these black and white sheets,

perfect to try out this design of colouring only some of the butterflies.

I wasn't totally happy with my colouring,

but the soft furnishings are designed by professionals,

so I tried not to be too hard on myself :)

I then chopped up the paper, giving me two backgrounds,

and a few spare to punch out.

I used some snippets of card for the sentiment and layers,

as well as a snippet of ribbon I found, close to the pink colour.

The cut circle above was a snippet left after cutting a smaller circle from it.

It wasn't quite even, so I cut off the edge, forming a "c" shape.

I added gems and sequins to decorate.

I used a coloured punched butterfly on the bermuda bay card blank,

and a black one on the pink card blank.

Which one do you prefer? If any?!

It shows we can be inspired by things around us.

My mojo has been very low lately,

but at least I managed a couple of cards I can send.
