Jan's swap

Hiya
This project is enough to brighten anyone's day...

Jan's swap at our team play day....
all boxed up with a hand stamped ribbon,
and die cut, inked filter paper flower, with LOTS of layers...

Inside was this gorgeous wall hanging,
featuring some of the new papers from Stampin' Up!
Hope it doesn't give you neck ache...I should have flipped the photo!

Here's her elegant make n take....
just love the colour combo, and well, just all of it really!
Can you see the added bling?
Wouldn't be one of Jan's without a bit of bling!
Pearls AND a rhinestone!

Class project

I used yesterdays card at a card class,
and decided to make a matching box from one of Stampin' Up!'s Kraft boxes.
We used Modern Medley papers again to decorate.
I embossed the acetate cover in my Bigshot, although it did struggle with the thickness!
We added a ribbon bow, and a Tag...
The right hand tag was inspired by stampinsupplies.blogspot.co.uk.
I embossed it, rounded the corners, added a 'hole' with Chalk Talk framelits,
some DSP, sentiment from Happy Day, and Itty Butterfly.

The left hand tag was made with Chalk Talk stamp and die, for a more masculine option.

Team play day

We had a really fun day with our fellow Stampin' Up! playmates.
We each do a swap and a make 'n take.
This was my m&t that I cased from Selene Kempton from stampin4fun.net

We used the Modern Medley papers, a doily, crochet trim,
Elegant Butterfly, Vintage Button, and Happy Day sentiment.
I loved the use of a slither of card stock to make the button 'thread'...
will definitely use that idea again!

Go, William

Here's one I did for Alan's nephew.
I used a fab chevron folding technique I got from a you tube video,
to make a couple of borders that fitted together.
I applied some washi tape first, then the chevrons,
mounted a This and That sticker on card, added a couple of ticket stickers,
and stamped from the Happy Day set.
I earned that set, and can't believe how much I'm using it...it's FAB!

Alan's Birthday

My dear other half celebrated his Birthday yesterday,
so I'm sharing the card I made...

We love to go cycling together, and ages ago I bought some bicycle paper clips,
with a view of using them for his card....not realising at the time that they fitted, almost perfectly,
a retired hostess set Pedal Presents.

I recently found various ways of paper folding chevrons, so decided to use them as my 'road'.
I then had to find a way of applying the 'clip' to the stamped image.
I ended up cutting it out, and decoupaging it on top of another stamped bicycle,
so that it would fit over the top.
I also secured the bicycle clip with a new metal clip (the arrow),
from Stampin' Up!
I was determined to use a new set 'Chalk Talk' to make a greeting.
This set is fab, because there are various tags and greetings,
with matching dies to cut them out, giving a professional finish.
I then stamped and cut out a cake to fit the basket,
which I coloured with some sparkly pens from my stash.
Phew!
Almost took me as long to explain it, as it did to make it!
He did enjoy it though.

Happy Friday!

mosaic missing

So, I sat down to make a copy of the one I posted Saturday, from our training day,
only to find I hadn't got one of the 'baubles', or the embossing folder, or the greeting...
hmmmm, so had to adapt it to what I did have...

just goes to show, you can take a design, and adapt it with what stash you have!
Granted, not as good, but a lovely design I may well use again!

Hope you are keeping cool, and free of the storms circling!

Hope to be back tomorrow with loads more to show you!

mosaic madness

I was lucky to attend a Stampin' Up! team training day last month,
and thought it was about time I shared some of our projects.....

Here's a card made with the Label from Apothecary Accents...
showing that a label, doesn't have to be used as a label!

The background is embossed, and detail is added by pricking with the matching template.
New colours are used....strawberry slush, crisp canteloupe....
all mounted on baked sugar cardstock...
mmmmmm fruity!
