Marbled Butterfly

Happy Sunday to you....
hope you have had a lovely weekend.

I enjoyed the garden yesterday,
so nice to be able to work on it in the sunshine for a change,
it reminded me why I love gardening so much,
to see all the new growth, spring flowers, and surrounded by bird song,
plus a blackbird following me around, awaiting the odd worm or two.

Here's a last card from my marbling session,
unfinished because I couldn't decide on a sentiment,
but will be handy to have in my stash.

I know it's quite simple, but I wanted to share how,
if you have a background you are not sure what to do with....
placed behind a die cut image, it just peeps through ...
ok, so it looks better in real life !

Have a good week

More Marvellous Marbling....

....with the shaving foam......

Here's some more samples I made for class...

The first, using a small square backed by DSP,
stamped and embossed on vellum and punched the balloons,
mainly blue and red

This one I've stamped small flowers on the background,
then used a smaller panel for the main focal point,
pink and green, stamped in black.

Have a fab weekend

Marbling Magic with Shaving Foam

Hiya

Friday Fun.....Marbling with Shaving Foam....
...have you had a go at this yet?!

If not, I'll do you a workshop if you are local :)

I recently held a couple of classes where we had such fun with this!

You can stamp on it, add more ink, dry emboss, heat emboss,
punch it, die cut, add vellum, and so on,
giving many different looks.

Here's an example of a background made with two colours....

I then punched out a few balloons from the centre,
allowing me to use the rest as a layer behind a piece of white,
which I stamped and mounted with itty balloons.

Stamp sets used:
Party Wishes
Balloon Celebration

Punches:
Balloon Bouquet
Party Punch Pack

 Have a fun weekend

Thank You Botanicals

Hello
I like to send customers a little card or something,
so I had fun using the Botanical Builder Framelits
to design a variety.

You can probably tell I quite like the border die?!

The one below is white on white, inlaid the die,
backed by DSP and flowers cut from the same paper,
with a vellum leaf.

Thank You
for stopping by

Botanical Blooms

A recent swap I made using the Botanical Framelits,
such a versatile set.

Had Jan in mind for this...blue and sparkly...

Built the flower from glimmer paper,
cutting some 'seed heads' from a spare,
the stalks are balloon strings from Balloon Celebration,
Pool Party Glitter Ribbon finishes it off.

Close-up of the flower

One paper that I save every last scrap of .....is glimmer paper....
do you?
Lots of snippets of glimmer paper mean....
I'm going to join the playmates in the

...got to do some chores first though :(

present full of stars

I missed out one of the cards I received from a friend
who sells cards in local oulets,
and I have to say I think they are very professional,
some people have just 'got it', don't you think?

peeking out below is a lovely tag she made for my gift

hope you don't mind a few pics of it...

Something else I forgot to share before was a couple of decorated envelopes I received,
I also forget to decorate mine !

It just makes them a bit more special don't you think?

#imbringingbirthdaysback

.........is a new initiative by Stampin' Up!
and they've even brought out a stamp to go with the campaign,
which aims to encourage more of us to send cards in the post,
rather than just leaving messages on social networks.
