February Rudolf Day

Rudolf day again!
I wanted to join Sarn's challenge HERE
Where we make christmas cards on 25th of each month!

I've been wanting to make a wreath from Stampin' Up! Petite Petals,
so this was my first attempt, using sizzlits little leaves...

But my friend who does flower arranging suggested I do the leaves first,
with fewer flowers, so I had another go....

This time I used the Bird Punch for the leaves,
and I stamped some extra Petite Petals, which I then punched with the Itty Bitty,
so they look like smaller versions.
I happened to have a ribbon bow in a pot of snippets....
I also made this into a square card for a change.

Here's both together....

Did you notice the underlining of the sentiment?
I got a 'shadow' ie caught an edge of the rubber with ink when I stamped it,
and made a mark, so attempted a disguise!

  2. Your ink shadow is BRILLIANTLY disguised Lesley! I really love both versions of the wreaths. They both work well.

One trick I picked up from Di (Snippets Playground) is to pressure emboss a circle (or whatever shape you want really) first for guidance, then arrange your wreath around it.

Thanks for joining in with Rudolph Day.

    Hugs, Sarn xxx

    1. I used a slim die cut circle frame on the second one, because the first was a bit wonky, but I love the idea of an embossed one! Xxx
