Can you see my 'hairball'
made from linen thread?!

Play Day Swaps

I had another lovely play day recently,
my swaps contained a herbal tea sachet.
Very simple using Apothecary Framelits,
spiral flower die, and the bird punch wings for the leaves.
I curled each petal over, and added a pearl to the centre.

Lots of snippets used here, so I might see if I can play
in the Snippets Playground

Happy Post

A lovely card by Jan
very elegant with bling is her trademark!
If only the photograph did it the justice it deserved.

Stampin' Up! Open Sea

Another Faux Tile effect card,
using The Open Sea.
This is done by scoring regular lines vertically and horizontally to form the 'grout',
and gently sponging ink over the'tiles'.

I chopped a section off and laid it horizontally,
layered up the greeting and added some card candy (faux brads).

Rudolph Day

Rudolph Day is here again,
check out the link HERE

This is where the lovely Sarn encourages us to get ahead
by making at least two christmas cards a month.

Here's one

and the other

and both together!

I can't take the credit for the design though.
It was shamelessly 'cased' from www.stempelmami.de.
Her's is far more gorgeous!
I really did love the design and colours.

A little Birdie told me...

it was Sarn's birthday...

So used the Thinlits to make this flip card,
using For The Birds stamp set.

Here's the flip side...

It's also Stampin' Up! Demo Support Appreciation week
#weloveDS, #StampinUp, #StampinUpUK.
Our Demo support team are fabulous, and help us with all problems,
and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Flowers to brighten your day

Here's a very colourful swap from Liz.
The background is embossed, and everything else is punched,
with not a stamp in sight!

Just shows Stampin' Up! is not just about stamps!
See how the blue really pops!
Hope you are enjoying the Easter weekend
lots of love

Spiral Flower

Here's one of Jan's treasures....
A lovely calendar gift in an easel card style

that reveals a sticky note pad

and this lush flower, made with the Spiral Flower Die

sooooo pretty!
Did you know you can cut the spiral in two different colours
and put them together like this?

Stampin' Up makes me happy!

I have a few projects from our last team play day,
that somehow slipped under my to do list...

I know I included this in a post the other day,
but it deserves a post of it's own.
Made by Sarah, I love the colour combo,
which I think is elegant eggplant, and crushed curry.
We used the Watercolour Wonder stamp set,
watercoloured the flowers with inks, and cut them out.
It's a fiddly image, but if you leave a small white border,
it makes cutting anything a little easier.

Belated Happy Post

Here's a beauty I received for my birthday,
better late than never!

Stampin' Up! Flower Shop

A panel of flowers stamped in daffodil delight and elegant eggplant,
flower centres stamped in contrast,
a couple of punched flowers and gems.

This was the inspiration for the colour comb,
although I think this was crushed curry...

This inspired the flowers etc.....

I hope you had a fab Birthday Louise!

Stampin' Up! wall hanging decoration

At a recent class, we made an inspirational wall hanging...
a home decoration that was inspired by Jan.
Are you ready for a little neck exercise?!

The hanging loop is on the right :)

Here's some of my clever playmates works-in-progress...

So talented, and so different, even though they had the same materials!

Most were finished when they got home,
and some went on to make even more!

We do more than just cards at my classes,
so if you fancy joining us for some fun and crafty therapy,
book your place on the next one!

Thank You

I always try and make my customers a little label or card,
by way of a thank you, and to give a little inspiration....
here's some I was making recently...

I used the Oval Framelits with the tag ribbon-hole from Chalk Talk.
Flower Shop provided the flowers,
and making life easy, one of the many fab things about Stampin' Up!
is the matching punch.....saves a whole lot of cutting out,
and gives a professional finish.
I also used my best stampin' friend the stamp-a-ma-jig
to position the words.....
it's such a simple useful tool I just couldn't live without!

Stampin' Up! Giggle Greetings

Happy Birthday Sis!

I thought I'd make her a funny one,
as she has a great sense of humour......
and a cat...

"Birthdays are like hairballs".....
(can you see the 'hairball'....a small piece of linen thread rolled up,
underneath the cat ?!)

......."the more you have the more you want to gag" it says inside.

I did pretty it up with some ribbon and rhinestones.

I hope you are having a good weekend

Bingo Clip

Bingo Clip?
Well I'd never heard of one,
until Sarah gifted us one recently.
She'd decorated it with Washi Tape, Papers,
sequins, ribbon, buttons, brads and inks.
Attached was a lovely matching card,
here's a closer look....
Such a special gift I'm sure you'll agree.

using the Edgelits and die-cut flower.
Such pretty colours.....

Stampin' Up! Flower Shop

My Playmates make some lovely projects,
so over the next few days I will treat you to some
from our latest play day....

Here's one from Liz
using Flower Shop and Summer Silhouettes.
She kindly made us some clay flowers too....
they are so light and lush, so don't add much to posting costs!

Stampin' Up! Play Day....Another Great Year

Here's my second m&t....
As soon as I saw this stamp in the spring mini,
I just had to have it.

It will be so easy to make a quick card with this,
plus there's so many options with it.
Here I've paper-pieced it...
stamped it on paper and cut out the banners.

I can see me using this one a lot!

Stampin' Up! Shaker Frame

We had another Stampin' Up! Play Day,
and rather naughtily I didn't make swaps!
Instead, I did two m&t's,
and this is one of them....
There's a little yellow chick inside, sat on a nest, from
'For The Birds', with some chunky glitter.
Stampin' Up! have some circle shaker frame foam pads
that are just perfect for the job!
