3 Spirited Snowmen

Hello there
I've been playing with the Spirited Snowmen set again

I'd had this in my head a while........to have the "skater" drag some others along...
I got out my trusty old stamp-a-ma-jig for this one,
as red rubber can be hard to position accurately......

Image result for spirited snowmen stampin up

I kept this one simple, just one layer, as I love a bit of colouring in.
I used a swirl from Merry Christmas to All,
(see below right)
then wished I'd chosen the simpler longer one above it....maybe next time...
The sentiment is from the new Itty Bitty Christmas
(loads of cool ones in so many styles)

I added some glitter afterwards with a glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds.
I stamped a couple more for later.....

anything goes plus "S" for snowmen in this case...........

If you'd like a copy of the new catalogue, just ask!

Stamp-a-ma-jig

Here's blue on white, and white on blue.

First stamped blue on white card,
then using the stamp-a-ma-jig to help line it up,
stamped white ink onto blue card.
Take away s-a-m-j, and glue in place lining up the trees and horizon.

Added snowman (ok, you can see where my first attempt
failed, so I had to cut another and stick on top!)
Some snow, and glitter finished it off.

Just wanted to show that the clear sheet from the s-a-j
can be used to help position things without the handle.

Hope midweek finds you well

Bloom in your heart

Here's my first attempt.....
punched a heart from scrap, making a stencil,
inked through it, then stamped.

But I wasn't happy with the layout.....so
take 2, with the aid of my stamp-a-ma-jig

Matted it onto matching card, added a rhinestone.

The Bloom with Hope and World of Dreams stamp sets could be my latest favourites.

Have a great weekend

Thank You

I always try and make my customers a little label or card,
by way of a thank you, and to give a little inspiration....
here's some I was making recently...

I used the Oval Framelits with the tag ribbon-hole from Chalk Talk.
Flower Shop provided the flowers,
and making life easy, one of the many fab things about Stampin' Up!
is the matching punch.....saves a whole lot of cutting out,
and gives a professional finish.
I also used my best stampin' friend the stamp-a-ma-jig
to position the words.....
it's such a simple useful tool I just couldn't live without!

Thinlits Circle

I'm lovin' the Thinlits dies,
as a quick and easy way to make an interesting card.

This flip card was extended, by using a longer piece of card,
that I laid over the die at the far end, so that it wasn't cut by the die.

There's lots of pics around if you don't know what I mean,
.......or ask and I'll point you in the right direction!

Here's the 'flip' side

I used marker pens to colour the cake stamp,
then stamped the sentiment using my faithful stamp-a-ma-jig,
.......that I just couldn't live without!

The stamp-a-ma-jig is the easiest, most effective way
of stamping an image accurately.
It's very reasonably priced too!
Go to my website HERE to check it out....

Alan walks into the village to play darts on most Tuesdays,
and you can almost guarantee it rains.
I'm not sure why.....
but I find it really funny that it rains most tuesdays!
(Luckily he takes it all in good humour!)

my swap

Well I was going to show my swap, but it seems I didn't take a pic,
so I'll show you that when I get around to showing you how to do the chevron folds.

I made them work on our play day!
I showed them how to do the folds on their 'swap', then later suggested we get a bit inky!

Using an acrylic block, I placed ink from two pads,
placed it on the card to make this background.
Sarn kindly let us play with her Wetlands stamp set
(which we all now 'need'!)

Then we tried the same method, but spritzing the block with water,
before placing it on the card.
Can you see the difference a bit of water makes?
I love experimenting and getting inky!
I also used the stamp-a-ma-jig to get a line of wading birds.....
Come back tomorrow and I'll show you a finished card using this technique.
