Workshop Wonder

Hello everyone,
and a VERY special Hello to my new followers,
thank you for your support!

I was a very lucky birthday girl recently,
and was able to attend one of Eileen Godwin's Workshops.

A great big thanks Eileen for the inspiration for my
swaps for team training recently!

Can you tell what it is yet?!

Here's a pile of 'em

One of the tags inspired by Eileen

A closer view

Just to show the scale.....errrrr not very big!

I made tags because there was a lot of us in the swap.
(probably took me longer than if I'd done a card!)

Took some watercolour paper,
a jar from About The Label, stamped and embossed,
butterflies from Perpetual Birthday Calendar, also embossed,
then watercoloured the jar with inks,
tied some twine around it's neck, added a label,
then Butterfly Basics provided the larger butterfly with a Rhinestone.
Mounted on two punched tags....Scalloped Tag Topper, and Note Tag.

I will show you the delights from Eileen's workshop another day.

I hope you have a fab week,
and hopefully lots of crafty time.

Berry Basket

Happy Friday everyone.
it's the weekend!!!!!

Thought I'd share some makes with the
fabulous Berry Basket Die:

First up, a blackberry bliss with doilies and the bow builder punch
(I'm lovin' my stapler!)

Then, I'm sure you'll find the original, and better, examples of these cute cards
on Pinterest coz my notes have gone missing...oops
(please claim credit if it's you)

Left has a seed packet tucked in,
Right holds a basket full of blooms,
on a tag that pulls out

I love interactive cards,
and the seed packet is a gift in a card too!

Have a fantabulous weekend peeps!

Team make 2

This next team make you may recognise.
It's the one I used for my mother's day cards.
You know how it is....multi-tasking and all that

This was cased from kingsonpaddington.blogspot.com
We used natural white cardstock, stamped with Hardwood.
Then some newsprint DSP stamped and embossed with white leaves,
adding some more stamped leaves fussy cut,
and all those lovely details from the Artisan Embellishment Kit

Butterfly Basics

I've had a challenging fortnight, including my birthday,
Mother's Day,
Alan badly cutting a wrist, and a rotten cold,
so I've lots of blogging to catch up on......

For my Team celebration, I supplied some makes to go with their gifts

Here's one shamelessly cased from Vanessawebb, net
which I adored making, and stroking!

We used Irresistibly Yours DSP inked with Coastal Cabana Ink,
stamped over using Butterfly Basics, and edged with silver embossing powder.
The next layer used the stencil from the Artisan Embellishment Kit,
silver ink and again edged with silver EP.
Topped with two butterflies, the smaller again in silver EP,
all topped off with a silver button.

Here's what some of them came up with.
Clever girls!

Here's what we used:

storm before the calm...

I had a class yesterday.
and I had to laugh when they said how tidy my craft room was.

"You should have seen it this morning" I replied.....

it looked even worse than the photo....shoved it all in a box...

I'm still sorting it out, but class was a hoot!

Join one of my classes...guaranteed fun,
and you'll most likely learn something too!

Have a fantastic weekend
Happy Crafting

Blendabilities News Update

Stampin' Up Blendabilities markers have been discontinued due to manufacturing issues.

Stampin' Up says: "The manufacturer is unable to correct the problem in a manner that we are certain would meet our high quality standards and provide us with a stable, long-term solution. Therefore, after a great deal of deliberation and in order to prevent further disappointment, the Blendabilities product line has been discontinued."

I am a huge fan of Stampin' Up products and am proud to be associated with this quality brand so, while I'm disappointed to lose this product line, I'm also pleased that Stampin' Up is keeping its standards high.

Most of the markers that have already been sold have been absolutely fine but there have been some packs with problems. If you have bought these pens from me and have any concerns about them, please let me know.

Butterfly Basics inlaid

I had an inlaid die technique theme at my last class,
and here's a relatively simple card we made.

We stamped the Butterfly and die cut it, put it aside.
Then stamped the ferns, a few times without reinking.
Stamped the sentiment, and added back the butterfly.

We added an itty bitty butterfly on top too.
This makes a nice flat card for posting.

Here's what we used

SUO Challenge #117

I just love this camouflage technique.
I did it at my recent classes,
and we used this fab grungy designer series paper from my SU stash
the new Thinlits and a few candy dots.

I did the underneath layers in white, which showed up too much,
so the class ones were in darker card.
I do like the white border and the simplicity,

perfect for any teen

which is why I thought I'd enter the
Cards for Teens.

Have a wicked Wednesday
