April Rudolph Day

Today I’m sharing a Christmas Angel, a cute die from a dear friend.

I found some nice snowflake and music paper, giving her a black / white / gold theme.

I cut her in gold, then added her to white card and cut around.

I die cut a circle for her to rest on, and gently coloured a scrap, cut separately for her face.

I used a hole punch on gold paper to add some sparkly dots,
and a gentle sentiment.

Happy Rudolph Day, to all at

do pop over to this challenge,
it’s a great way to get ahead,

Posy pocket

I got this die, It’s a wrap mini Posy Pocket,

to make a couple of bouquets.

Firstly using a vellum wrap, and some fussy cut flowers from paper.

This wrap is cut from paper, again with fussy cut flowers.

I love the little label and bow that’s with the set.

These will last longer than fresh cut flowers 😃

Giant Happy Birthday

Hello, I bought this lawn fawn die recently, as I often need quick cards,
I love paper piecing, and this seemed a fab idea.
Lots of different pics to share….

This group shot shows how you can cut two and switch the letters.
Sometimes you need to inlay additional bits to the letters, so I kept all the pieces until I’d finished.

Above picture, bottom right might be my favourite.
I coloured the letters and used the frame as a guide to glue them down.

Above was very messy, a fail as the die moved but I didn’t want to waste it.
I should have added some of the inside lines of the letters.
However this will probably end up in the bin.
I did like the striped paper one though.

As it’s the first time I’ve used this die, I’m entering the NBUS Challenge #49

Trellis Meadow

The Trellis design is very popular, with many variations around.

I received one for my birthday, so decided to have a go using the Meadow Dies.

I die cut the flower heads from scraps of coloured card, then fussy cut to fit the stems.

There’s so many dies in this set, so I made another…

I used lots of snippets of card for the flowers and butterflies, so I’m off to play in the

Sail away….

I made this for my sister, who is very artistic, using a combination of stamps, and ink blending.

It’s a book fold, and I love how we can create scenes with stamps,

as I certainly don’t have artistic talent myself.

I had to match the left strip up with the main scene, instead of doing it the easy way, ie stamping a bigger piece in the first place! Sometimes these things evolve and take a different direction, which is my excuse! 😂

I fussy cut the boulders, and added pebbles.
I coloured the die cut boat background to blend with the sea and sky.
(There are a few areas that leave a bit of white)

Sending Sunshine

 Hello friends, Happy Easter!

Here’s another one using the Dainty Flowers paper,

this time fussy cutting some of the tiny flowers.

I die cut the single daisy and colour matched it to the paper using Blend pens.
Some lovely milky dots add some bling.

Sending sunshine to you for a lovely day.

Dainty Flowers

I’m sharing some ideas from Debbie Mageed of secretstamper.com,

using the Dainty Flowers paper again.

I liked cutting the centre of the paper and raising it up using Deckled Rectangle dies

Another colourway

Here’s some using a die cut oval topper and die cut flowers

I really appreciate all the crafters out there that share their ideas,
I’d be lost without them!

As I used snippets of card for the flowers and frames I’m going to the
Snippets Playground Challenge to see if they’ve hidden any Easter eggs!

Delightfully dainty

Today I’m sharing some more makes using the Dainty Flowers papers,

but the layouts could be used for all sorts, I’m sure you have lots of pretty papers.

I got the ideas from Lynn Dunn of stamptasticdesigns.com, who is so generous sharing her designs.

I was able to make a nice selection of cards to pop in the post and brighten someone’s day.

Happy April, spring is here….

Vellum seahorse shaker card

Yet another way to use vellum….instead of acetate for a shaker card,

but also to die cut for accents, interest and added texture.

Just love the embossing folder, well actually I love all the sea themed products SU have.
The seahorse is just adorable, they are fascinating creatures.
