Watercolour with die cuts

 Hi there

I came across this technique that I have never tried before (that I can remember, anyway)

Using die cuts to make a watercolour background.

I happened to have In The Pines Stamps and Pine Wood Dies on my desk, whilst making up kits for class.

I was surprised to find there were a few Blog Challenges I could enter, so I gave this technique a go.
I put some ink and water on a Stamparatus plate, swooshed it about a bit with a tree die,
and made 3 inky background trees.
I then stamped and die cut one of the trees, and stamped my deer (Dashing Deer).

I used Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral for the watercolour trunks, and Terracotta for the deer.
The picture above was taken in glorious sunshine today......albeit a bit cold outside.

I hope you'll give this a go?
Meantime I'm entering the following.......

(Apologies to the above if I've missed or broken any rules )

Have a good weekend

Pine Woods

Today is a simple tree......from Pine Woods....

that you can use in many different ways.

This is just two dies from the set.

One cuts the internal branches spaces, the other the outline,
which is nice and fine, with many uses.
Above I cut another from Stampin' Up's fab blue glimmer paper...
hope you can see the sparkle in some of the pics.
Believe it or not (yes, I am a bit nuts),
I placed each segment into place using tombow glue  and a cocktail stick!

This one above is just laid over some of the blue glimmer paper

Above is place over balmy blue card, which looked a little plain,
so I placed pieces of white bac into some of the spaces,
with the same glue and cocktail stick!

Here's all 3 samples, very plain and simple,
and above you can see how easy it is to decorate the envelopes.

Have a super Sunday
