Pen storage

I saw an idea on Pinterest about storing pens in our Stampin' Up! boxes.
We can buy spare ones, or some of you may have some you don't use.

It works fine for the marker pens.....I have a few of the Retired Colours
that don't fit in my other storage box.

Then I wondered about my Blendability pens.....
I have really been tussling with the sharp stiff plastic cases they come packaged in,
and couldn't wait to find them a better home.

I discovered that some of the old clam shell boxes I still had,
fitted them a treat,
and here they are in their new home.

I am always saving packaging,
and sometimes it does come in useful!
They are much easier to see now,
and definitely easier to use!

I had a WI magazine through the post recently,
and was so incensed by the junk mail I took a picture!

I wonder how many trees were cut down for this little lot!
It all goes in the recycling, but even so.......

P.S. Di asked which Blendabilities I'd recommend to start with.
Here's my suggestions in the order I got mine:
Skin tones; Greys; Blue; Green; Pink; Yellow

Friendship is a Sheltering Tree

Sheltering Tree is another favourite.....
I have sooooo many at the moment.

I did the tree in blackberry bliss and wisteria wonder,
inked the background with brushes,
added some stars and stickled them with glitter,
and added the cats in the foreground, again with a shadow of white
to give the effect of moonlight....

I also added a little ink to the base of the tree to 'ground' it....
I must be getting very brave, plus I love watching Barbara Gray.

I remembered to stamp the envelope this time!

I used snippets of white and black for the cats,
so I'm taking this over to Pixie's Snippets Playground

Foxy

Feeling foxy or foxed?

Final image from Hey,Valentine is this cutefox,
that again could be used for other occasions,
including a first birthday/ anniversary

I used a staple on the tag faux ribbon.

Tweet tweet

Here's another sweet tweet for YOU!

This is another one from Hey,Valentine that you could use in many ways.
I've seen it as decorations and tabs for sweet packets and little gifts.
Here it's been cut into three, and I coloured in the hearts.

This time I'm going to hop over to Pixie's Snippets Playground,
as there's lots of snippets of paper and card used on this one

Johnny Depp

Only kidding! sadly.....

Anyway here's a cutie from Hey,Valentine

I just coloured it in (you don't have to!)
and layered with some papers.
You could easily decoupage, add glitter etc to jazz it up,
but I'm told men like 'em simple!

Hey, Valentine

I thought I'd share some valentine ideas this week.

I'm very impressed with Hey,Valentine
as the cute images can easily be used for other occasions.
Cute fish huh?

I'm also impressed with Hello Life,
which I'd bought mainly for the large sentiment,
but with a little inspiration from Pinterest,
realised how easy it is to make some clean and simple cards with the rest of the stamps.
You may remember the borders I made with the bow cards,
but here's a few more ideas.

Have a good week

Sister

I wanted to make a special card for my Sister,
so thought I'd do another card-in-a-box.

The paper was from last year,
using pistachio pudding, cisp canteloupe, pool party colours mainly.

I added the flowers and butterflies to acetate so they 'sway'
I'm disappointed it doesn't photograph too well,
but I hope she liked it.

I used the Note Tag Punch to add the sentiment on the back,
and attached it to a butterfly wing, so that it folds back to write on.

Such pretty paper.

Hope your Sunday is Special
