Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all my blogging friends!

Fresh year, fresh opportunities, and a couple of fresh cards....

Sheltering Tree and Stitched Label Framelits used here in an aperture card.
Showing things are not just for christmas.....can you see I used the Sprig Punch to adorn the corner?

Same colours as I needed quick Birthday cards, and had these fresh colours out
( Lime, Pineapple, Mango)

The swirl, top left, is from the Dashing Deer Dies !

So do look at your dies and punches, and see how you can use them all year round!

Hope to see you back, as I'm going to start sharing some brand new goodies!

Wishing you a happy, healthy, prosperous, crafty New Year

Wonderful Man

Was a bit time challenged for his lordship's card,
so I took my fave sentiment, hung a swing from it,
grew a tree with hearts, propped a bicycle against the trunk,
sowed some grass, and the sun came out!

Added this on the inside
(photo is wonky)

A quick* card made with love :) <3

*by quick I mean, it only took a couple of hours,
and this was the second attempt.....
I know you all know what I mean!

Sheltering Tree

I used this stamp set Sheltering Tree from Stampin' Up!
to make a sympathy card.

The 'brush stroke' is the 'grass'

I added a few 'leaves' to the grass.

I used the tiny 'splodges' to make the 'leaves',
as I find the bigger group of splodges is a bit too blousy sometimes?

I liked it, so made another.

Friendship is a Sheltering Tree

Sheltering Tree is another favourite.....
I have sooooo many at the moment.

I did the tree in blackberry bliss and wisteria wonder,
inked the background with brushes,
added some stars and stickled them with glitter,
and added the cats in the foreground, again with a shadow of white
to give the effect of moonlight....

I also added a little ink to the base of the tree to 'ground' it....
I must be getting very brave, plus I love watching Barbara Gray.

I remembered to stamp the envelope this time!

I used snippets of white and black for the cats,
so I'm taking this over to Pixie's Snippets Playground

Happy swinging away

Hello
happy Monday!

Made this one for a special young man
I love this set Sheltering Tree,
you may have noticed!
This time I stamped lots of coloured 'leaves'
including some of my reduced flower stamp from Perpetual Birthday Calendar.
The sentiment again is from Hello Life.

Have a good week

makes me happy

In case you hadn't noticed
I love stamping!

I also love sending hand made cards to my friends and family.
I think about them when I make them,
so they arrive full of love and good thoughts.

Here's one two of my fave sets at the mo...
Hello Life......
(mainly bought for the happy big sentiment,
but am loving the others in the set too)
and Sheltering Tree.

The thing is......I wanted to try different 'leaves',
so I got out fave set three (ooo dear, just can't make me mind up at the mo),
Perpetual Birthday Calendar and stamped some flowers.

The thing is.....I wanted some smaller flowers in between.
The stamp is little, and it would have been fiddly to mask,
so I did a very naughty thing.....
I cut a bit off!
Well, it was just two little flowers, that I can still put with the others,
but it just made it so much easier to fill in the gaps.
I decided it's my stamp, I can do what I like!

I'm trying to remember to decorate the envelopes too.

Happy Saturday

make more happy

I just love Sheltering Tree and here I used it with Hello Life

The star-burst is from Kinda Eclectic,
and I used one of the little accent stamps from Sheltering Tree
to make the 'blossom' and to stamp the background.

Happy Sunday
