Sheltering Tree

I used this stamp set Sheltering Tree from Stampin' Up!
to make a sympathy card.

The 'brush stroke' is the 'grass'

I added a few 'leaves' to the grass.

I used the tiny 'splodges' to make the 'leaves',
as I find the bigger group of splodges is a bit too blousy sometimes?

I liked it, so made another.

  2. Oh my goodness...how lovely. I had just seen the 'splash stroke' stamp in the SU catalog and thought "how would I use that?". Well, this surely shows very beautifully how it can be used. LOVE this one, Lesley. Very CAS, very striking too. (Think I have the tree, but not the splash stroke...currently re-entering my SU sets into the datasheet). TFS & Hugs.

  4. These are both really pretty, soft and soothing. Perfect for sympathy cards. This reminds me that I need to make some to have on hand.
