Simple Sunday post

Hello

A simple post to relax on Sunday

First up a simple card....

they don't have to be complicated or take ages to make,

sometimes we need something quick and easy,

but pretty enough, and made with the same crafty love.

Using this lovely foil paper background,

with some stamping in blue for the focal background,

and then the greeting on top.

Then a quick snap of some of my favourite decorations,

all of which have lovely memories of times with friends.

Mini Curvy Keepsake

Hello there

I hope your christmas prep is going well.....always amazes me

how much effort goes into one day!

I made these little table favours for some of the groups I belong to,

and friends and family.

They were relatively easy, fun to do, and just right to hold a chocolate treat.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find all the extra label dies in the set,

all with detailed stitched edging, and punched holes!

I like to cut a few shapes for each one using card and paper, and stamp a greeting on a white one.

Playful Penguins

this is a project we made at craft club recently

A bit of heat embossing for the sentiment and the "iceberg" he's standing on,

followed by sponging the sky with some ink.

....and a bit of fussy cutting and decoupage of Mr Penguin

Hi there
hope you are finding time to craft in this silly busy season.
I just had to share some gift packages I made with #Elfie from Stampin' Up!

These were nice and quick......some pre made pillow boxes and the bobble twine

from last years stash, along with some preprinted spotty tags.

So I stamped the little elf, coloured it in, and fussy cut him,

leaving a white border at the bottom.

I added a strip of sticky glitter tape to the bottom edge,

and extended the "shelf" he's sat behind, using a fine liner on either side of the stamped line.

I've seen a couple of challenges based on elves, so.....

firstly Mrs A Butterfly Challenge

secondly moving along with the times blog 

and thirdly love to craft challenge blog

Christmas Countdown

Hello again

It's the Countdown to Christmas today

with the Stampin' Up! Countdown to Christmas Kit.

It's a fabulous advent calendar, very robust, with lovely sized boxes

to contain all manner of gifts, including chocolate of course!

I love all of the traditional colours.

There is everything you need in the kit, and I thought it would be nice to do it as a class,

which went down extremely well with all who participated.

Hopefully below you can see the box size.

Above you can see some of the left over snippets that I couldn't bear to waste.

So without further ado I set to to make some cards.

The one below used some of the spare box fronts, with a few embellishments.

Then I made a few toppers to use later.

There is a coordinating stamp set for the kit which I used below.

The small stamped image above top is a retired set.

As I used a lot of snippets left from the kit, I'm going to join in the

Snippets Playground Challenge

It's been ages since I've managed to play, it's such a lovely place

to catch up with friends, including furry ones!
