Christmas Baubles

January Rudolph Day has arrived, time to start the christmas card making again!

I'm kicking off with a lovely prize I was lucky to win last year,

Christmas Baubles

I stamped the background with a little used, gorgeous set Merry Patterns,

Then die cut the baubles from some DSP (Designer Series Paper)

I drew lines for the bauble strings (need more practice at that!)

I'm also sharing the snippets I used so that I can join the Snippets Playground

I added gold twine bows

Evening Evergreen is a lovely dark green, perfect for christmas. 

As this is the first time I’ve used the baubles, I’m also entering the NBUS challenge.

And this little piggy….

 I couldn’t resist sharing one last piggy..

A similar ink blended background, stamped with same ink

Then added some grass and leaves die cut from DSP ( Designer Series Paper)

The sentiment looked stark white, so ink blended the edges.

This little piggy…

This little Piggy got paper pieced…

The blended background was stamped in the same ink,

(An idea from Emma Goddard)

The picnic blanket was an off cut of tartan paper.

 

I inked the edges of the sentiment , 

the banner was die cut from a slither of paper

The balloon and cake got winked

Watch out because I’m not bored with these little pigs yet!

For the boys

 I needed a couple of quick cards, so got out these papers again

Fussy cut the vehicle and stamped onto the paper

Added some gears cut from silver card

again stamped onto the paper

nice and easy.....

Today's quick tip is to use a lens cloth to clean fingerprints from gloss paper, metallics or mirror board. Don't be tempted to add any liquid, just polish the prints with the dry cloth until they disappear.

 

This Birthday Piggy goes to Snippets Playground

 I’m a bit late starting the New Year.

Hopefully I’ll catch up, meantime I’m heading to the new

Where they celebrate Di’s 11th blog anniversary. 

I’m also using NBUS, so heading over to their

I used a tag from my stash (hoping to use up neglected stash this year),

Plus some snippets of card and paper

Here’s some of the snippets used.

I gutted the pink, using a new to me die set.

Annoyingly I forgot to take a pic of the other card made with the other snippets.

January has found me with a huge rush of birthday cards to make and send.
