I wanted to enter Sarn's Rudolf Day Challenge

Which is all about making Christmas cards 

on the 25th of each month,

and getting ahead of the game..

I simply embossed and die cut a top layer,

tied some twine around it, then sticking it over a stamped image.

The right hand one has a stamped layered flower from the

NEW Petite Petals,

and the twine is NEW too, with gold thread running through!

I also added some gold glitter to the trees,

none of which shows up in the pic sigh!

A Bird in the hand

Well, I'm not sure where that week went!

I also don't know how I forgot to show you a fab gift tag I received

from the oh- so- talented Ros,

a seriously gifted card maker!

Who would have thought to use that cute bird to 'carry' those parcels?!

Incidentally, those parcels are decoupaged, or 3-D'd, too!

Sooooooooooooo cute 'n' clever, don't you think?!

Thinlits Circle

I'm lovin' the Thinlits dies,

 as a quick and easy way to make an interesting card.

This flip card was extended, by using a longer piece of card,

that I laid over the die at the far end, so that it wasn't cut by the die.

There's lots of pics around if you don't know what I mean,

.......or ask and I'll point you in the right direction!

Here's the 'flip' side

I used marker pens to colour the cake stamp,

then stamped the sentiment using my faithful stamp-a-ma-jig,

.......that I just couldn't live without!

The stamp-a-ma-jig is the easiest, most effective way 

of stamping an image accurately.

It's very reasonably priced too!

Alan walks into the village to play darts on most Tuesdays,

and you can almost guarantee it rains.

I'm not sure why.....

but I find it really funny that it rains most tuesdays!

(Luckily he takes it all in good humour!)

On Yer Bike!

I just love the detail on this retired stamp from Stampin' Up!

It was a great excuse to get out my 'Gorgeous Grunge' set too.

I used Chocolate Chip and Real Red.

Patchwork in pink

Happy Saturday!

I had a lovely time at the Lace making group in Tonbridge today.

Much Lace, Knitting, Embroidery, Tatting, Crochet and other crafts are enjoyed by all.

We had a birthday in our group, and she loves her patchwork,

so I immediately thought 'Six Sided Sampler' a Stampin' Up! stamp set I have used A LOT!

Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight are the colours,

butterfly punched from gold Glimmer Paper.

In case you don't like the jaunty angle,

here it is laid flat!

I've had a lovely few days, Alan helping with chores and stuff,

and lots of catching up with family and friends,

but he was back to work today, so I'm trying to get back to 'normal',

whatever that is!!!!

So, first up....a little glimmery inspiration for 2014....

Background is stamped with 'Gorgeous Grunge' in silver and gold

(yeah I know it just looks 'grey!'),

Gold Glimmer paper (so lush, and not just for christmas!),

numbers from 'Memorable Moments' in Midnight Muse ink.

The little background stars are from a Sale-a-Bration set you can get for FREE!
