Stampin' Up! Diamond Anniversary

I was asked to make a diamond anniversary card
for a friend's husband
EEEEEEK!
What a responsibility!!!!
Luckily Julie Kettlewell had blogged a card that I could 'case'.
So, I dry-embossed some of our silver card
(a nice soft quality silver).
Stamped and heat-embossed the greetings,
and a few flowers.....
well why shouldn't men have flowers too?!

I added some die-cut glimmer paper
(really blingy, hence a second photo in a vain attempt
to show you how blingy),
some lush white ribbon, and some rhinestones.

Oh, and I added some heat & stick powder and dazzling diamonds
to the flowers...
So, all silver and diamonds, as requested....
I just hope they liked it,
but more importantly I hope they enjoyed a 'Diamond' Anniversary!

Stampin' Up! Card in a box Flower Shop-style

It's the latest craze....
a 'card in a box'....
it folds flat, but opens out into a box shape!

Here's some closer pics...

I'll show the mechanics another day,
as I'm sure to make more of these,
PLUS I feel a Class project coming.....!!!!!!
Book your place now to avoid disappointment!

Happy Mother's day

Hope all you Mum's have a FAB day today and get thoroughly spoilt!!!!

I'm so lucky to have two Mum's to spoil,
and of course I had to make them each a card!

Here's my tease from yesterday.....
what's in the bag?

A box of sweeties.....and these!

More pics later.......

Stampin' Up! For The Birds

I got this Festive Flurries snowflake embossing folder after xmas....silly me...
but at least I can now use it to get ahead !

I also just got 'For The Birds' stamp set.
I'd been wanting it since the catalogue came out last summer!

So, of course I just had to try it out straight away!

This little skater is coloured with marker pens,

here I cut another bird out and decoupaged him on top,
but only because I'd mucked up the one underneath!

and then I went and made a couple more!

So that's another four for my stash, thanks Sarn!
I'm putting these in the Rudolph Day Challenge,
so do go over and see everyone elses lovely projects!

Happy Post March

Here's the happy post I sent this month....

The cloudy paper is  from Stampin' Up!.
I die-cut a circle in it to frame my layer underneath.
'For The Birds' (SU also) provided the cute stamped image,
that I also stamped on paper scraps, cut out and laid over the top....
a form of 'paper piecing'....
Tied some ribbon around the paper, and added some gems.
"Thanks, friend"

p.s. I've entered into the Snippets Playground with this one!

Pergamano delight on the left...
Frantage and multi coloured butterflies on the right....
BUT.......... I loved them all.....
Thanks to each and every one of you for taking the trouble to send me a card,
you know I LOVE to receive them, and they will be on display
until Alan's birthday in July!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for my cards...

How lucky was I to receive so many fab cards
for my Birthday?!

Want to see some ?!

Top of the pile, and you'll see why......
The double embossing, the myriad of butterflies,
the lush Ribbon, the punched border.....
I shouldn't have favourites, but Liz's is an exception!

Spot Stampin' Up! stamps

Now, I wouldn't normally show you a card that wasn't hand made!
But, I'm making an exception in this case!
It just seemed sooooo Stampin' Up!-esque
I just knew you'd have fun spotting stamp sets that look so familiar!
Or is it just my imagination?!

Stampin' Up! Flower Shop and Lace

A little card to show you......one that I sent.....
before I show you over the next few days, some I received...

I used Flower Shop, and a Lace border stamp that I removed from it's wheel!
The lace looks almost real!

Stampin' Up! Owl Punch

Starry starry night........

I'd seen a couple of cards like this on Pinterest, and just had to have a go!
Two owls  and two branches punched from black card,
a circle for the moon.....
Then I got out my white gel pen to highlight........hmmmm
it didn't look quite right, so I got out my white ink pad instead,
daubed a halo around the moon, and around the edges of the owls.
I then made some tiny dots with the gel pen......hmmmmm.....should have been more random.....
hmmmm....added some glitter glue dots on top.....shame I smudged some, and made a shooting star.
Lots of hmmmm-ing and lots of room for improvement,
but it was fun trying!
.
I totally love the concept though, don't you?

Happy Birthday to me...

.....ok so it's toooo early yet.....
BUT I went to my lovely lace makers group today,
and just had to open my card from our 'circle of friends',
and then I just had to share it with you,
because it's soooooo lovely!

It's a twisted pyramage I think.....a type of decoupage,
with lots of layers.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend!

Stampin' Up! Tea Pig Pyramids

Thought I'd share my team mates play day swaps today.
I wanted to do a 3-D project containing something non-fattening,
as we are trying to eat healthily.

So I had the idea of a Tea Pig holder.....I've only just discovered these posh tea bags,
as I was scouring the supermarket shelves for some herbal teas.

The 'straws' that act as the closure, were up-cycled from cutlery packaging.
I used some of the new gold embossed vellum from Stampin' Up!
Here's a close-up

Here's a peek of the inside
I hope you enjoy your next cuppa!

Stampin' Up! Welcome Baby!

I'd been lucky enough to share some Sarndangling recently.......
what? you say?....... check out Sarn's dangling HERE
Anyhow, I got to thinking that this sentiment stamp set "A Word For You",
would be ideal to 'hang' things from.......
I'd seen various 'mobiles', of the hanging variety, not the phone.....
So, anyway, if you're not bored yet?! ......
I took my Stampin' Up! Itty Bitties stamps (these are REALLY Itty Bitty small!),
my Itty Bitty circle punch......drew some lines and this is the result:

I would definitely say this is CAS (clean and simple),
just hope it's not toooo minimalist? I don't 'do' CAS very easily!
So any comments would be welcome!

p.s. forgot to say how wonderful it is to have this new baby in this world!
Congrats to her mum dad sis grandparents aunts uncles etc etc!
