Happy new home

Can I say hello to my new followers!
I hope you enjoy popping by,
I do appreciate your support,
and all comments are welcome.

I just knew that Holiday Home stamp set from SU
would be a much used set.

Here's a simple one for a new neighbour

The heart is from the owl punch,
I added a faux stitched border,
and some glitter.

Happy Monday Post

Hello!
Hope your week has got off to a good start!

I'm sharing a happy postal swap today,
which started off really differently,
and so not my usual style.

I went to a fab workshop with Eileen Godwin,
and made this with a stencil and ink

Then I had to think of what to do next.
So I got out some stamps and had a play,
and this is what happened

I liked the colours, and the flowers stamped over some letters,
and it was fun to just 'go for it'.

Class act

Happy weekend everyone,
thanks for stopping by.

I thought I'd show what we did in a recent class
with coordinating projects
in Coastal Cabana

A box of tags courtesy of Pootles
using the scallop tag topper punch,
petite petals, and sentiment from a current free set

Then our new Curvy Keepsake box die,
with one of it's tags cut from glimmer paper

Plus the card you may have seen on the previous post.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the tiffany style projects.

I also shared some of the same projects at a workshop,
and here's some more examples of the different styles.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
and I hope to be back soon.....
lots to share!

Rudolph Challenge September

It's that time of the month again!
It's Rudolph Day!
25th of the month!

Here's the first.....

 and the second.....

did you spot the differences?

Just to prove it, here's both together!
Both using Holiday Home from Stampin' Up!

Left is on whisper white, right on very vanilla.
I'll leave you to find the other differences lol.

Have a good day,
and hop over to Sarn's blog to see everyone else's designs

Shaker Star

a special card for a special little lady,
a shaker card made with the star framelits.

The 'shaker' is filled with chunky glitter and
stars and hearts.
I liked how the foam pad mounted stars and hearts
in the same card stock adds interest without too much fuss.
This is not a clean and simple,
but a girlie pink and sparkly!

Hopefully my computer will last long enough
for me to catch up with some blog posts....

Hope your week is going ok

The Male Room

Can you tell I'm doing some blog catch-up?
Three in a row, a bit like those buses.

Just wanted to share some happy news too....
I had one of my cards showcased on The Male Room challenge.
See the post HERE

I feel very honoured to be included.
No idea how to pick up the winners badge.
Something else I'll have to learn eh?

I hope to enter more, time permitting,
and hope you will have a go too!

Thanks for stopping by

Jerry

Jerry had been poorly recently,
and unfortunately we had to make that difficult decision.
He is now at Rest in Peace in the garden.

He had a good life though,
with his previous owners, and with us.
We know we did the right thing,
we miss him dreadfully,
and the house is far too quiet.

So if you notice anything odd on the blog,
or any mistakes, just give me a nudge,
as I may not be firing on all cylinders for a while.

Hope you don't mind me sharing.

water pump

Want to see another diamond fold springy card?
No?
Too bad, Im gonna show ya anyhoo!

So this is how it started

Here's the topper,
and a separate piece with the wood grain for the greeting

back view, where I placed the greeting in the pocket

Front view (obvs)
inked around the edges to make it pop

with the greeting tucked in the back

see how I positioned the 'happy' so it peeked out

My neighbour liked this so much he phoned to thank me,
and to say it was sitting proudly on his mantle piece.
How nice and satisfying it is to have helped in
a small way to make someone's day.
I love crafting!

Enjoy your weekend

Can you tell what it is yet?.....

Firstly, apologies for not visiting your blog lately.
I'm very 'time challenged' at the mo.
I WILL catch up sometime soon, promise!

I went to a fab workshop recently with Eileen Godwin.
What a fantastic fun teacher she is!

I'm itching to show you what we got up to,
but for now, here's a background I made using cling film....

I think I might have then taken a second print from the same sheet
(my memory is challenged too!)
This makes it slightly paler.
I then stamped with black archival ink on glossy card.
I slipped a bit, but it made a little shadow that I actually liked,
around the birds and branch, so I didn't bin it!

I only wish I'd chosen a different sentiment,
but was in a rush as usual to get it in the post!
It actually shimmers in the light,
but I won't be surprised if my friend
thought it was a bit mad!

I have a thing about cards arriving on the day.....
it's not the same if it arrives later....
or is that just me?!

Happy Wednesday!

Charlton Athletic Football Club

For my Uncle.
He used to take us to CAFC when we were younger.
I still have a love of football,
and a soft spot for Charlton.

As you can see I used the springy diamond fold again!
That's my trouble, I see one I like and then I do it again and again!

Anyhoo.....one of my schoolfriends kindly gave me a whole
shed load of crafty stuff, including these cute little
paper football strips.
(See, there are some things I never forget,
and so this is in Ian's memory too <3).

The base has a laser cut stencilly thing I've had for yonks too.

I used one of the Itty Banners for the greeting.
Happy Birthday Unc,
hope you had a good 'un!

Fun for Friday

Here's a fun one for the weekend!

Made with the owl builder punch,
this was lots of fun to make :)

The sentiments are from
Just Sayin' stamp set and Word Bubbles framelits

Hope you have a fab weekend!

Happy Oliver Day

Here's one I made for a Nephew who's growing fast.
I got the shaped card idea from Sarn,
but I resized it to make it bigger and easier to make.
I will share the details another day.
For now, here's the springy diamond shaped card

I've used the new star border punch,
and then used the 'waste' confetti to decorate.

Here's the back view, that has a little 'pocket,
where I tucked a separate diamond shaped greeting.

Flower Shop work of art

Lovely fun summer colours on this one by Liz.
I loved the free feel of the leaf sprays and bottom borders,
and the colours are bright yes indeed!

That'll definitely cheer you up!

Flower Patch

A Jem from Jan,
but shhhhhh don't tell her I didn't get round to adding the bling!

Framelits to match again, making light work of the cutting.
Lots of lush texture here, and fresh colours delight the eye.

Feathers for you

Lovely simple elegant creation from Lelly,
fab colours, and again good fun as I don't have this set.
If you think we fussy cut feathers you'd be wrong.....
framelit dies make light work of that!

I think the greeting is from that new hostess set you can get for free!!!!!

Hope you have had a good week

Good thoughts....

You might have noticed my posts are a bit short and sweet...
needs must, it's the only way I can cope at the mo.
My memory is really suffering,
so can the artist of this one please step forward?!

It's fab and I love it.
In fact I'm trying to work out how I can adapt it to stamps I have!
Hopefully I'll be able to edit this scheduled post  to include the maker!

Work of Art

I really enjoyed making the projects the playmates brought to the table.
Stamp sets I don't have which is even better,
but everyone always comes up with something different.

Kim's has lots of lovely layers...
the stamped images, the tags, twine, star and rhinestones.
Love the colours too.
This could be a good one for men....

Summer Silhouettes

Here's one of Liz's lovely creations,
pretty in pink....

I think the background is white craft ink using bubble wrap,
but if you hop over to visit her, I'm sure there'll be a better picture.
I love the offset ovals, the embossed detail, and colours.
The tag is cute too!

Diamond fold spring wetlands

Another shaped masterpiece from Sarn!

A diamond fold card that springs out of the envelope!
I love the colours, and The Wetlands is a favourite of many,
but one I haven't got.....yet?!
The Work of Art set provides the contemporary background.
I'm off to try out this shape....
back soon with more!

September?! Already?! yikes!
