Countdown to the new Catalogue.....

I can't tell you how excited I am about the launch of the new
Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue in a few days.......
On Wednesday 1st  June to be exact!

I went to a team gathering recently, and made these small gifts,
using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets, which I absolutely LOVE,
and will be available with a stamp set as a discounted bundle.

I added glittery stars from the Stars Confetti Border Punch,
which will still be available if you didn't get yours yet.

I started off trying to use some DSP and a bigger star,
but it wasn't working, which is why I just had to try my new toy.

The inside is designed to take a gift card,
but there's space enough for extra treats.....like chocolate!

I've used Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush,
but maybe it's time to break out the NEW In Colours!
Have you seen them yet?
I am so excited I'll have to come back and share soon!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
it's a bank holiday here in the UK.

May Rudolph Day

Well, despite putting it into the diary (that didn't work then!),
I still missed Rudolph Day....25th of the month,
but luckily there's still time to enter with a christmas card.

Here's one...

A shaped card I did at club, gold embossed rudolph,
swirls die cut from gold card, mounted on cherry cobbler card.

Here's another resulting from a challenge between a few friends...

watermelon wonder not a colour I'd normally use,
but like it's brightness,
sparkly stars, and can you spot a new stamp?

Christmas card challenge inspired the red and white
and lots of Snippets used must mean a visit to the

that's two out of the ten target....must do better!

Happy Rudolph Day

all finished with a lush wide ribbon bow.

I betcha wanna know what was innit now?
maybe I'll share, but only if you are very very good ......someday....

Going Places

A good guy one for a good guy

The paper is from a stack called Going Places,
it coordinates with a stamp set Going Global.
However, here I paired it with Guy Greetings.

I die-cut the label, and decoupaged some of the car parts.
I even managed to write the recipients name on the number plate.

I die-cut a smaller label to write on
(it's hidden behind the topper)
as I didn't want to cover the lovely paper.

Hope you go somewhere nice today

Heartfelt Sympathy

It'll be a difficult day today....
we are saying goodbye to Alan's dear Granddad,
who reached the grand age of 95.

I'm sure we'll give him a good send-off,
and we will celebrate his life.

He will be at peace now, with his late wife,
and we will have lovely memories to treasure.

I plan to do a Scrapbook with some of his photos.

He absolutely loved gardening.....that's where he was happiest,
and Alan is following the tradition of  growing vegetables,
having learnt so much from his Granddad.
Life will be rich from the harvest,
and from having him in our lives.

Tin of Cards

Hiya
have you ever bought a kit?
It's not something I do very often,
but this is one I definitely 'needed',
purely because I just adored the tin!

It's ok keeping my cards in boxes until I send them,
but this tin is so much better and oh so posh!

So, I was happy with my tin,
then I thought I'd have a go at making some of the cards!
It came with full instructions,
and I have to admit, I am now most decidedly converted to kits,
it was awesome fun!

Here's some of the cards I made

I would definitely recommend one of these kits from Stampin' Up!
I'm not sure there are any of this one left on the Retirement,
but..........keep this to yourself............
there's a new and even more awesome one in the new catalogue due out soon!

Have a good week

Endless Birthday Wishes

This post is all about the stamp set from
Stampin' Up! called Endless Birthday Wishes
and this post might seem a bit endless by the time I finish!

If there was only one set you could have on a desert island,
this would be top of my list.....I think......ooooh how could one possibly choose?!

One of my bestie mates used this set,
and I finally bought it recently......
luckily for me too, was an excellent class worksheet
provided by Stampin' Up! for their demonstrators,
which I was able to use recently.

Here's one I made from the instruction sheet....

It's a bit whimsical, and the cake is easy to colour in with marker pens

Or, like Sarn did on this one, just add glitter glue
(I love how she turned down the corner, added a star,
and kept the colours simple)

Or, paper piece like I did here

and as an added extra, I gave my class attendees an
instruction sheet for the pleated paper technique
that seems extremely popular at the moment.

I used glitter tape across the middle,
and some old lurex thread thats really really curly.

If you've managed to stay awake thus far :)........
Some of my class let me take some pictures of the ones they created

Those eagle eyed among you may notice
there's a different cake on some....
A kind friend gave me a cute little wooden cake stamp,
which I use to save people waiting for the one in the set.

I hope you have a peaceful Sunday
and I look forward to having you visit again soon

Party Pants

Morning
I hope you have a good weekend,
wherever you are,
and whatever the weather.
Sunshine would be nice though!

My Parents Birthdays are a day apart,
both the same age,
Mum has a 'toy boy' lol

Mum frets about throwing my cards away,
so I kept 'em simple this year,
unashamedly cased from Amanda at The Craftspa

So apart from the colour, can you spot the difference?
I like to make matching ones,
as they are on the mantlepiece together

Happy Crafting!

Flowering Fields take two....

This is an idea I got off Pinterest,
using Balloon Celebration for a dandelion type effect,
that goes perfectly with the DSP

I used silver glitter tape....

and the dazzling diamond glitter tape.
I just love that sentiment from Party Pants.
I've also seen the rounding of some corners from peeps like Di from Pixie's workshop
....finishes 'em orf dochathink?

Flowering Fields

Hiya, howyadoin'?

Sharing a recent make using sale-a-bration products....
I'm sad SAB is over.....but very excited our new Stampin' Up! catalogue
will be out very soon!

Anyway, back to the card.....there was some paper to match the stamp set,
so I kept the stamping simple, using snippets of card and the paper,
and a snippet of the self adhesive glitter tape,
that I seem to have acquired in abundance!

I coloured in the flower heads with gold wink of stella,
to match the glitter tape

Hope your week is going well.

Lots of Snippets used, so I shall see if the Playground is open......

Number of Years

Hello folks!
Thanks for visiting on this damp dark day in dreary Kent.....

Here's a cheery card I made for a little chap,
using a cut-and-shut type of card I cased
from Amanda at Thecraftspa
It's really easy when you know how ;)

I made up my own measurements,
by taking a standard card and dividing it into thirds.
cut off the bottom two,
stick the middle bit to the top and bottom et voila!

I decorated it with lots of snippets of card and paper,
so a hop skip and jump to the
where I might need wellies and a brolly!

Hope to see you there for a play on the swings!
