Card Buffet (3)

Here's card three from Lift Me Up...

Adhere patterned paper to the background,
add a mat at a jaunty angle, but stick the balloon straight,
having die cut different coloured strips and stuck them to the back,
(there's dies for the strips, and basket)
add a cloud over the top to add dimension.

Card Buffet (2)

Following on........

here's the second Lift Me Up card

Embossed the background, stuck patterned paper to the back of die cut balloon,
and fussy cut round it, sponged the edges of the clouds,
and added a greeting to one.

Thanks for lifting me up, by popping by my blog!

Card Buffet (1)

I always try to do something different at my classes,
so decided to try a kind of card buffet recently.

I'd fallen more and more for the Lift Me Up Bundle from Stampin' Up!

(which incidentally won't be available as a bundle, from 31st June,
so hurry if you want the bundle discount!)

I had all the stuff in a basket to make one card, and the idea was,
you could choose a basket, make the card in it, then return it,
and choose another basket, and so on.

I had about 6 baskets, and they all ended up making all 6,
as they were quite simple designs.

There were however, a couple of ladies, who weren't listening,
and almost mucked up the system......you know who you are!!!

Anyhow, I thought it would be nice to show you them,
so that you can make them too if you like,
so here's the first

Stamp the background, die cut a section, lay it back in, lined up on foam pads,
stamp the "note" on patterned paper, cut out and lay over the word "note"

We went for a bike ride this morning, and had to take this pic of a group of "friends"

I hope you are enjoying the weekend.....

May Rudolph Day

Oops!
Only a day late......for the Rudolph Day Challenge
.......which is pretty good really.........
do you have a time thief in your house?!

Here's what I made....

ok so it's not the most christmassy of christmas cards I've ever made,
but I was playing with some new DSP, and one of the new In-Colours,
and new exactly who would love this......

This is one of those double z folds, which I kept simple

Here's a birds eye view......
I may add something at a later date,
but whilst trying out a few things, it seemed better plain....

A close up of one of the new dies too........teasing you,
but the new catalogue launches next week...

If you'd like a copy of the New Catalogue, please just ask,
meantime if you place an Online Order, use the Host Code for an extra gift from me

I'm happy to split them with you!

Happy Crafting!

I'm busy trying not to melt.......it's extremely hot in the
south east of england......and we all know we're not used to that!!

Custom Tee pretty in pink

I had a lot of Birthday cards to make this month,
and I had lots of fun with the T-shirt stamp set Custom Tee

You really can "custom" the card to "fit" the recipient
and it won't get misshapen or shrink in the wash......hopefully!

My photography ain't great, and my photo editing needs work too!
Can you spot the deliberate mistake?
Just seeing if you are paying attention lol......

Happy Weekend

Hochanda

I was at the Hochanda Show at the weekend,
Detling, Maidstone.
It was a fabulous craft show, and looks like it will be an annual event.

I met so many lovely people, it was tiring but so much fun.

Here's a link to a short video,
see if you can spot me!

If the link doesn't work,
try going to Kim's blog:

kimfeecrafter.blogspot.co.uk

I shall be back soon!

High Tide

Another lovely swap I received,
using another stamp set I wasn't sure if I needed.....

Rachael Berry
has used it in a way that seems so simple yet effective

I needed a male card......so maybe I do need this set!

Mum and Dad Graffiti

I hope they saw the funny side of these "graffiti" Tee Shirt cards.....
considering they are 85 years young!

Mum is one day older than Dad, so I always try to make
sort of matching cards....

I think the Designer Tee set is so cute,
then I embossed the "wall"
and stamped using various sentiments and colours

I threw in a few "I love you"'s.....we don't say it enough....

I hope they have many more happy returns of the day

Magic Reveal Spinner Card

Firstly, a HUGE thanks to Inkresponsiblyau.blogspot.com.au
for sharing a tutorial on this spectacular card technique

I did this in a recent class.....it isn't/wasn't easy, but I think well worth the effort

Here is one "closed"

then "open"

closed

open

closed

open

the ribbon acts as a "pull" or tag to turn the circle to reveal the image underneath.
I think it is most effective when the first image is quite subtle,
then revealing more drama underneath.

I have the instructions saved on my pc,
so if anyone wants a copy, please just ask here,
or email gillettlesley@gmail.com

Baby Wipe Technique

I did these at a recent class

we made a multi coloured ink pad from a folded baby wipe

this technique suits the dragonfly perfectly

and I left them without sentiments, so I can adapt them when needed.
