Happy Rudolph Day everyone!
Only a day late.....
and no mice in sight.....they've gone off on their holidays!
Only a day late.....
and no mice in sight.....they've gone off on their holidays!
Ok, so this is called faux embossing.........
normally "faux" things are easy.............errrrrr nope not this one!
I decided to try out Stampin' Up!'s new Sizzix Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets,
which will be known as sticky sheets from now on!
This is the mess I got into............!!!
This is all the debris.........that was on the table.....let alone what was on me and the floor!
So, I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits for the sentiment
(which is from retired set Tin of Tags)
I used some silver thread behind the sentiment ,
and some of the new Glitter Enamel Dots.......
(which are gorrrrrrrgeous!)
The snowflakes are from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits set
(you must get this bundle it's awesome!)
..........and I ended up making a few.....
I love the effect of faux embossing and will definitely try it again!
If you want to join in see the Rudolph Day Challenge
and as I used soooooo many snippets I'm joining the Snippets Playground too,
see you there!
If you're still reading.......I've been absent due to parent trouble....
and trying to shoehorn 7 days of busyness into 5,
which is not good, as I'm sure a lot of you know from personal experience.
I am lucky to have two sisters to share, but with both parents very poorly it's still a struggle.
Anyway.......I'm here and I'm going to try and be here more often
AND I'm going to try and visit you too!!!
Meantime, if you want a good deal, the Bonus Days end soon...Monday in fact!
Get a voucher worth £4.50 for every £45 you spend.....and you can have as many as you like,
and you do have to redeem them in August....but there's a new christmas stamp set you can buy early!
There's loads of stuff in the catalogue (if you'd like a copy just ask),
and there's also bargains in the Clearance rack.
And.....shhhhhh......the new seasonal catalogue is out soon!
Use the Host Code FPR4XPA3
for an extra gift from me,
or join my band of happy stampers and get an amazing deal of £195 of stuff for just £99!
Happy Stamping
Lots of Love

Fabulous cards Lesley! I feel for you with the sticky sheets though - that was a very ambitious dive into the deep end! Did you come up with some duck weed - if so blame Sarn - she was meant to be cleaning the duck pond this Summer!

Great cards! I love that background effect. My first thought was that I "NEEDED" to know what embossing folder you used. Fabulous job and how nice of you to keep your sanity after all those sticky sheets and their clingy waste.
ReplyDeleteAs for Christmas mice.... well, I just happen to have one so I will have to share it tomorrow for Rudolph Day. So glad to see July finally winding down.
Stay sane! And take time for yourself otherwise you'll find you poorly too.
This looks really fabulous Lesley, love the snowflakes and a really classy card, the debris was certainly worth it.
