I watched a video to see how to use it, but I didn't find it was detailed enough,
and so I took some pictures to help you, as sometimes pictures are easier to understand.
I would love to do videos but lack the time and expertise, it is however on my wish list.

So, firstly I designed a pocket, which I then die cut, using the semi circle and the slats.
To make the pocket :
Card size 12 cm x 9 cm (4 3/4" x 3 1/2 ")
Score short side 1 cm , 1.2 cm, long side 1 cm, 1.2 cm, 10.8 cm, 11 cm
(short 3/8", 1/2",  long 3/8", 1/2", 4 1/4", 4 3/8" )

the idea is to create enough space for the insert to slide easily

It took me a while to understand what the semi circle die was for :) doh

I made an insert 9 cm x 10 cm (3 1/2 " x 4")

there are two stamps to make up the bird, so I started with the one with the beak in purple,
then hovered directly above/over the first image with the second stamp in blue,

as you do this, you should see only the blue, the purple will be hidden.
The picture above shows I didn't get it exactly lined up,
so I will try with my stamp-a-ma-jig another time.
The stripes combined with the die cut slats, somehow make a moving image,
the wings appear to flutter.......it's magic obviously :)

I did find you have to move the insert quite slowly to get the best effect,
and put instructions inside the card to the recipient, but it's such a cool idea,
and creates a real "wow" !

The pocket sits nicely on an A5 topfold card,
I added a sentiment and a stamped and die cut flower.

The flowers are a trumpet type,
and there's all sorts of elements and sentiments in the set.

I will be back to show you the butterfly, which literally flutters by!
If I get chance I'll do a video :)

Don't forget all the special offers this month,
£4.50 coupon for every £45 spend,
buy the "kit" for £99 and get the usual £130 of product
PLUS an essentials kit PLUS a FREE stamp set!

  1. This does look intriguing and the colours you have used look super together. I bet the butterfly will look equally as good. Hugs Mrs A.

  3. I think this style card looks pretty cool and is a real treat to see. I question just how many of them one will make as they sound a bit fiddly (although you've made it sound easy here). I've seen them done with other images too. Now that takes brain power I'm sure.
