Mother's Day Mouse

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mums in Blogland.

Miss mine, but luckily have Alan's with us for lunch today.

This stamp was a gift from a dear friend, she's so cute, and is very apt for this card.
MIL loves her garden and is often upset if rain stops play.

Epoxy drops added, a bit of decoupage, and a bow

A variety of sentiments inside using the same paper

Have a good day and sending you hugs if you are missing yours.

Pines on the horizon

 Hi there

Happy Belated Rudolph Day ......only a day late which is a minor miracle.

Do join the Rudolph Day Challenge if you can,

it's a great way to get inspiration and motivation to get your xmas cards made.

I've been having lots of fun with the New Horizons DSP.
It's 6 x 6", so a great size, and you get multiples so you can design so many things.

I've been designing class projects, but was itching to do a xmas version.
This sheet was cut into four 3 x 3" pieces.
I stamped some trees from In the Pines, added the ickle deer, and dotted some snow with a white pen.
Mounted it onto standard card base and added the simple sentiment.
Ideal for a male or a thinking of you...

Otters encircled

I used awesome otters for these cards.

The one below uses left over snippets from the card that follows, and snippets from my stash.

Therefore I must enter the Snippets Playground challenge!

Some time ago I white embossed on black some sentiments,
And kept in a small box….handy for a quick fix.
I also keep die cut shapes from scraps, such as the scalloped circle,
And keep them in a box to use for focal points or sentiments.

His hat is either being blown by the wind, or he’s been jumping up and down ;)
Hmmmm was there a party in the treehouse?

Decorated inside too, with his hat on properly ;)
Or maybe he’s had coffee from the treehouse bar, after the party.
(You must visit the Playground to see what mischief there is!)

This one uses Marbellous paper, die cut a circle,
Stamped Otter on white card to fit behind the paper.
Can you see the epoxy “water droplets”?

This was inspired by Emma Goddard, who runs a fab card and cuppa online.
I hope you enjoyed these awesome otters today.
I ended up doing it in a few different colours :)

Silhouette in grey and black

This one was inspired by a challenge on AAA Cards

The background stamp was a gift, which included the stag.

As ever, better in real life.
Added a touch of ink to ground him, and rhinestones for sparkle.

I then tried it in dapper denim, a darkish blue.
This time just one rhinestone on the star.

Anything goes.

That’s a couple more for the stash :)

Pigs Might Fly

This was so much fun to make......totally different,
and a most welcome prize from the Snippets Playground

I fussy cut and decoupaged the pig, wings, balloon, and sentiment, using up lots of snippets of card.

A very happy dance indeed!

Do join in the Snippets Playground Challenge, it's so much fun
and you'll find lots of ways to use up all those snippets

Mischievous Mice

I've been doing Emma Goddard's Online Card & a Cuppa,

it's been a delight to have an hour a week to myself to just "play".

Emma's designs are lovely,  I always learn something, and they can be used with lots of sets we own.

This is a slimline card with 3 panels.
I altered the size slightly to fit the SU Slimline Envelopes,
and used Mischievous Mice for the images, coloured using the Blend pens.

The hardest part was lining up the balloon, which is quite large.

The balloon string on the stamp wasn't fitting my angle, so I masked that and drew my own.

Twine decorates the middle panel, and enamel dots add that little extra.
These pretty envelopes fit the Matte Decorative Dots packs too ;)

Hope this makes you smile.....there's so much sadness around.
We are all thinking of Ukraine and praying for peace.
