Case the Catalogue

Today's card came about by caseing the catalogue.
Do you need inspiration? Has your mojo got up and gone?
The Stampin' Up1 Catalogues are full of inspiration....colours, layout, techniques etc.
Talented designers create projects to showcase the products.

The background was dry embossed, then given a faux embossed look using die cuts of the same colour.
The die cut leaves were placed around randomly, snipped to fit.
Die cut stitched squares were used as the focal point,
(see how it's slightly offset from the layer underneath?.....adds a bit more interest)

Stamped and die cut leaves in different colours were added and snipped to fit.
(see if you can gind the page this design is on)
If you need inspiration do grab your catalogue.....it's called an ideas book for a reason!

Fancy Fold Butterflies

I made these cards from a Gail Ellis design.

You can see her video here: https://youtu.be/bUTF40yd7R4

It's a lovely fancy fold that stands really well, and can be oriented on it's side too.
I'm afraid I loved her design so much I used very similar elements.
You can see it works in any colourway too...

Here's a birds eye view....

.....and some of the detail....

Very Vanilla Poinsettia Place

 Hi there

I used Forever Fern here to create some more xmas cards,

inspired by Anne Granger of stampwithannie.com.

I used very vanilla (cream) for a change, and by using colours from the paper, stamped the leaves.

I added a left over strip to decorate the front of the envelope.

Below I attached a strip of paper to an embossed card blank, and added a small poinsettia.

I decorated the back of the envelope this time......from a strip of paper, glued to the back flap,
lining it up with the folded edge, then cut around the edge

Below are ready to post

I'm entering the

Pixie's Snippets Playground - Challenge #414 -

Ruby's Memory

As I used lots of snippets of cream card to stamp and die cut ,
designer series paper strips, and the little flower

Take care
