Happy Birthday Gorgeous 3 ways 3 Colours

I needed 3 quick-ish birthday cards,
and went to a favourite set by Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

There's lots of ideas on Pinterest.

I have used Kim Fee's idea,
with the stitched frame raised up on foam pads a few times,
and Monica Gale's layout inspired me too.

 This was my favourite...

which do you prefer?

Have a great week

You Move Me too or two

Hiya
Humming bird again....no apologies, its so cute and clever!

Made a tri-fold card with a pocket to hold the moving bird inside the slatted frame.
Kept the rest simple, with just a cone flower to decorate, and a leaf for the pull-tab.

Made a decorative panel for inside

You Move Me Hummingbird

I was very impressed by a card made by Shelly Godby visit her blog post HERE

It uses the You Move Me set, but here I've unashamedly copied the lovely design of Shelly,
and used the non 'moving' parts.
There's a stamp set and matching framelits.
I inked the hummingbird in tempting  turquoise, dipped the edges in pacific point,
die cut him and the flowers, leaves, stamens.
Cut a square aperture to use as a mask, inked inside the square with sponge brayer.

I liked it so much I made another, this time using a dauber to ink up the bird and flowers.

I love the two tone look, and the added enamel dots.

Team Play Day

We had another team play day a little while ago,
a shoe box swap was the main activity, along with much chatter, a fun day indeed.

Liz brought this idea.....mine was a bit off balance....think I was too busy chatting :)

much later on, I added some rhinestones......still not quite happy but hey ho,
I did have some mini poinsettias left over for another time....

This was Jan's take on a Kim Fee card.....love the crumpled seam binding....
hate that I stuck my background on upside down, and the circle the right way up...
resulting in a mismatch......cock-up number two!

Sarn brought us this Tryptic (?) card....
stamped the panel, inked it in blue, yellow, green,
then chopped it in 3 and mounted......yay I think I did ok on this one!

The lovely thing about card making, is there are no rules, no right or wrong,
just a card made with love, to send to someone you care about!

HAPPY Birthday Gorgeous

Hello
Today I'd like to share a card I saw on Pinterest,
you can see her original blog post here:

Paper Daisy Crafting

I liked it so much I've done classes, workshops, and made some of my own personal cards
using the same technique, and everyone I've shown seems to love it too!

For my version I cut out the letters I wanted, laid them on SU grid paper
(I use the grid paper for most things, its so useful for lining up, designing and so much more),
and stamped from about a third to half way down, using lots of little stamps from
Happy Birthday Gorgeous
in lots of bright colours

I embossed the background, added ribbon and sentiment,
and stamped inside too

I also added some new Stampin Up! glitter dots on this one

some were mounted on foam pads, some I cut multiple letters and glued them together
to make a faux chipboard look

You can use any stamps for this, ideally smallish ones, but even then you only see 'bits' of them

I just stamped randomly, spreading out the colours until I was happy with the overall look.

Do have a go, and hop over to Paper Daisy Crafting to see hers, and many more
lovely cards she has made.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Although I made this card, I cannot take the credit for the idea.
Happy Birthday Gorgeous is a stamp set that has been full of surprises.
I have really enjoyed playing with the two-step images that are simple to use,
and the lovely sentiments with cute fonts, that are so so versatile.

I used soft blues, mauve's and greens, with just a few images from the stamp set,
and with a layout cased from Kim Fee, die cut a circle afterwards,
layering it up on foam pads.

I tied some silver thread around the top layer, and through the circle.

I think you will see a lot more of this set ;)
