Snailed It

 Today I'm sharing Snails!

I did another kit class and here are some of the extra ideas I shared.

We used the Designer Series Paper and there is very little stamping.

They did however have to do a lot of fussy cutting....not everyone's cup of tea!

(No molluscs were harmed during the making of these ha-ha)

Have a great weekend!

Whale Done Mermaid

Hello, I'm sharing a little underwater scene ,

that is mainly the fab DSP ( designer series paper) from Whale Done,

with a stamped mermaid...........but

..........it looks simple, but took longer than expected.
I had to mask off the "stone" she came sitting on, then inked just her.
I used the Stamparatus, so I could repeat stamp, making her nice and solid black.
You must remember to remove the mask before you stamp the image.

I then decided to use the "fishes" as her focal point....
the seahorse that comes in the set (which I LOVE) was a bit too big.
I then coloured bits of her with some old Sakura glitter pens,
and some wink of stella for a bit of glam shine.
I also used an offcut of paper to decorate the envelope.

Have a good weekend

Origami Notecard Folder

Good afternoon!

Today I'm sharing another zoom class project,
using a 12" x 12" sheet of decorative double sided paper.
Score at 1-7/8", 5 -3/4", 6 -1/4", 10 -1/8".
Turn and score at 2 -1/2" & 8 -1/4".

Fold each corner in at 1 -7/8" (above & below)

Fold those sides inwards

Fold the other sides in.....one overlaps the other.
Tuck one into the other to keep in place

Place note cards in one side, envelopes in the other.
The central score lines form the "spine" of the booklet.

Below shows the front, above is the inside.
Decorate as desired, with a focal point or label,
and secure with ribbon tied around, or make a belly band.

Gift it with your hand made cards, to someone who is unable to go out and buy cards
or notelets, so they can send to loved ones they are missing.
You could even enclose a few stamps.

Enjoy!
