Bells are ringing all over the place!

Hi
I'm here to showcase another new bundle from the new
Seasonal winter catalogue launching on 1st September.

Seasonal Bells Stamp Set, and Bell Punch.
Another versatile set with lots of useful elements,
and not just for christmas!
(all will become as clear as a bell)....

Try not to crick your neck, I forgot to turn this one :) ...
Copper, Silver and Gold Foil heat embossed with the Copper powder.
---

I had the Owl Punch in the background
to remind me to tell you you can use it to punch small holes....
---

Tried to show you the three foil colours, the twine, and
crumb cake snowflakes were die cut with the Stockings set :)
---

DO NOT get too close to foil with your heat gun,
it WILL bubble :)
---

Simples
---

Used some new Cherry Cobbler Ribbon,
stamped one bell in red, two red glitter embossed, punched and on foam pads.
---

There's actually stamps for weddings included,
however, I wanted an anniversary card, so I wrote with a glue pen and heat embossed.
Love the scroll in the set.
(sentiment is an old one)
---

Just HAD to use a new jingle bell (squeal!),
threaded it onto thin gold ribbon,
and attached it behind top layer,
mounted sentiment on foam pads, but.......

left room for it to SWING!
---

Amanda from TheCraftSpa shared this idea.....
the bell becomes a pot!

see!

Are you still here?
Did you nod off?

Thanks so much for visiting!

Star of Light

I have been playing with another new set....
Star of Light and Starlight Thinlets,
it comes in a Bundle so good value,
and I think this may be my favourite at the moment!

I decided to use Sweet Sugarplum,
one of the new In-Colours, because I'd got some of the
coordinating glitter Ribbon.

Again it took very little time to put these together.

I could have gone on and on playing with this Bundle,
if only I didn't have other things to do!

Excuse the poor photography...some things never improve, but
I hope you enjoy looking....

I tried the Copper Foil, it looks good with this soft pink,
there's some absolutely gorgeous sentiments in the stamp set.
---

Pink Glimmer pink, and again so many little elements in the set,
including the weeny trio of stars in the top left corner.
---

Some of the new Ribbon
---

Vellum, love the die that makes peep holes, and Silver Foil
---

The swirl is one stamp, and it's simply divine.
---

Have a great weekend

Happy Crafting

Hang Your Stockings

My posts are less frequent at the moment, but packed full of pictures,
so I do hope you enjoy them.

Now, you may think I've spent HOURS in the Craft Room,
but you'd be wrong..........the beauty of the new products from the Winter Catalogue,
is that they are so quick and easy to put together,
and I have been absolutely FILLED with inspiration!

I've not even used any where near all of the elements in this Bundle.

So, sit back with a cuppa, and enjoy....

Liked the sentiment as a 'hanger', very sparkly in real life
----

Nice n simple, glitter snowflakes inlaid........these snowflakes are soooooo useful
----

like the textures the overlays give on top of a plain die cut,
had to add a touch of sparkle
----

liked the concept but not my execution......meant to be for a family, .............
hanging on the stairs.............
....but size was wrong
----

These are the Notelets you can get in a pack.....
ideal for xmas cards.
Used the red glitter embossing powder!
Very sparkly, but does shed a little, and would use red ink next time....
to hide the bits I missed!
This powder is quick to melt, and best heated from underneath imho.
----

The tree and holly are in the Thinlits too......
I should have inked the stamp a tad better!
----

Hopefully I'll have another bundle to share soon,
so watch this space!

Flourishing Phrases

I made a display set using Flourishing Phrases stamp set,
Flourish Thinlits and Pop of Pink speciality paper

This is another versatile set, and I used the catalogue for the ideas.
(A great tip we often forget when the mojo goes missing!)

Three cards.....

the scallop border was an off cut from the decorative border

A bag....

and a box.....
using some Foil Designer Acetate

But it I had a special card to make for a special lady,
so I took an idea I'd seen,
and by leaving some of the die from the 'sandwich' of Bigshot plates,
came up with this.....

Although I'd cut from the main card base,
I cut two more flourishes to strengthen and hide any tatty edges!

I was on such a roll that I made a few more!

I love how they all coordinate.

Have a lovely weekend!

stockings and snowflakes

Christmas has arrived early in my house!

Stampin' Up! are releasing
THE MOST AWESOME
autumn/winter catalogue!

If you are lucky enough to be a demonstrator,
you can get your hands on it now, and get to order and play
with new stuff before anyone else!

I like to send my customers a little something with their new catalogue.
For members of my class, they picked their copies up yesterday,
and I made little gingerbread men wooden pegs....

I have quite a few catalogues to go in the post,
so in order to keep my costs down,
I made little tags....

The trouble is.....there are SO many elements in these bundles,
that it's hard to choose what to use,
and it's also hard to stop crafting!

So, I now have to step away from the craft room!

But, I probably won't be able to resist sneaking back in,
and showing you some more.....so stay tuned!

If you would like a copy of the new catalogue,
please don't hesitate to ask
email: gillettlesley@gmail.com
or contact me in the usual way.
You are also welcome to join my team, or attend my fun classes!

Have a great weekend

Enjoy.....a double z fold....

Hello everyone,
well that was another week that whooooooshed by,
where I've not blogged, or even made anything arrrrggghhh.
"Same here" I hear you cry!!!!??????

Not to worry though!
I've got some previously-made cards to share,
as July was such a busy busy month!

First up......one for Ros.
She makes awesome cards, so I always feel the pressure.....
completely self-inflicted obviously,
because like the rest of us,
we appreciate anything hand made for us
don't we????

Here's my Pop of Pink make
and below the mechanics of the double z-fold card

I have been everso busy in the garden,
have a pile of ironing from our week away around Oxford,
a house that needs cleaning.....as do the windows,
not to mention the overflowing In-Tray of paperwork!
Oh well, life's too short to worry about the little things!

I hope you had a good week
and a good weekend
and may your week ahead be awesome!
lots of love
