Last team swaps

I hope you've enjoyed seeing the swaps from a team day,
if you do ever attend one, it'll hopefully give you some idea of what you could do.

This makes me smile a lot!
Karen Franks made this one

I have no name for this little wooden spoon,
but isn't it adorable!?
Just shows you can stamp on anything!

This special box is from Kim Fee,
with a very special gift inside,
thank you so much Kim!

That's all folks!
well, as far as those swaps go anyway.

Yes, there's more!

Love this from Natalie, in crumb cake and Lost Lagoon

A diamond one from Sarah Lower,
using lots of embossing and glaze

So sweet indeed from Gill Moore,
stamped background, overlaid with die cut,
then the flower and leaves added

Just a couple more I think,
see you tomorrow!

more team swaps

I'm back with more!

One of my favourite colours, Melon Mambo,
and a favourite stamp set Summer Silhouttes,
this is by Jackcraft

A stunner from Emma Goddard, fancy fold,
using Stippled Blossoms (it looks 3-d just stamped in grey),
Gorgeous Grunge splatters, and butterflies

Another stunner, from Cat Herrington.
She stamped and embossed with black powder, then die cut,
added onto simple Vanilla card.
Very effective.

Elegance from Yvonne Bevan,
embossed frame, inked edges,
ribbon and thread, I really like this too!

Sorry if I'm giving you too much neck exercise!
Haven't had time to edit them sorry!

Rudolph Day in May

It's that time of the month again....25th.....
which means it's time to make a couple of cards for Rudolph Day Challenge,
and 52 CCT (christmas card throwdown)

Here's what I made using the new In Colours from Stampin' Up!.
Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaron on Naturals Ivory Card

I tried a shaped card using the Circle Framelits,
made a circle frame, and made up a little scene

I inked some areas with a sponge dauber,
fussy cut house and tree,
and added seam binding ribbon

Same die, different shape slightly

Tried a wreath with Painted Petals.....
didn't turn out as good as I'd imagined (as usual!)

So I added some punched Itty Flowers from snippets of card.
I love how I can stamp some of the Painted Petals and punch them out.

Added a bow with a snippet of ribbon,
and seeing as I used lots more snippets,
I'll pop over to the Snippets Playground, as I haven't been to play for aaaaaages,
and there's an awesome prize to win ;)

Happy Bank Holiday Monday

Team swaps

I love this elegant box from Rebecca Wilmore,
I think she stamped circles with the end of a pencil rubber?
Crumb Cake is one of my favourite colours,
although Tip Top Taupe may take over!
(One of the new Colours!)

This dinky little purse is from Fiona Harris (kraftyfi),
made from some of that gorgeous paper .....

A lot of the swaps contained chocolate,
swapping is not so good for the wasitline,
but boy it's fun, and everbody has fab ideas.

Hope your weekend is going well

than I'd hoped, so let's hope today stays sunny,
coz I aim to get mucky clearing out the pond!
I tidied around it on Friday, and disturbed a basking grass snake eeeewww!

Chalk Board Technique

One of my classes recently covered this fun technique
reminiscent of school days.
Ingredients: Black Card, White Craft Ink, Stamps, Pencils.

The 'Thanks' was simply stamped, filled in with a White Chalk Pen,
and coloured in over the top when dry, with coloured pencils.
I love colouring in!

This one was created by getting out lots of greetings,
stamping them in a square shape,
and adding faux stitching to frame it all.
The trend is to make smudges of ink to imitate a chalk board.

This 'easel' card was created by using Crumb Cake card,
stamped with Woodgrain, chomping out the middle bottom
with a punch to create the 'legs'

Stamp and emboss with white powder, and you can then
colour over the embossed parts with alcohol pens.
This was my favourite technique.

Do it in really bright colours, and add matching bunting,
hung with baker's twine.

I'm really sorry I didn't take note of the designer's I cased these from,
but I'm sure you can find them on Pinterest.

This is such a fun technique, for children of all ages!

christmas cheer

I know, I know, but it's great to get some made each month!

Today's offering uses Holiday Home,
embossed the snow, (from an EF I won in the Snippets Playground),
embossed two lines across the middle (honest!),
stamped and cut out the houses,
slapped 'em on with a few trees, smidgen of colouring in,
sentiment from Sweet Essentials

My little 'town' means I can enter 52CCT  'O little town' challenge

and the layout fits Happy Little Stampers May sketchchallenge

Hope this has brought some 'cheer' your way!

Butterfly Basics

Hello Honey.
That's the colour of these two cards made at a recent training day,
along with Basic Grey and Very Vanilla.
It made a nice change to go vanilla,
I've used a lot of Whisper White lately.

Sorry the picture's not the best,
but I'm not at my best at the mo!

Have a great week

Makes n Takes

Team makes

Jan is into the faux tile technique,
and here's what she shared.
She'd kindly prepped a lot of it,
so it was easy to put together.
Shame you can't see the trademark glitter,
Jan HAS to have glitter!
Don't you just love that swirl

Liz's was good enough to eat.
It was good to get reacquainted with the cupcake builder punch
and matching stamp set, and that cute DSP.
I just love how everything coordinates so easily with Stampin' Up!

Wishing you a peaceful Sunday

Team Swaps

Hello peeps,
hope all is well in your world.

Here's some swaps from a recent team day
I'd hung them on my 'tree', so I hope you can see them ok

Jan's little bird inked on Irresistibly Yours DSP,
don't you love the punched border and rounded corners

Liz's shaker full of cherries and matching paper,
so cute, "sometimes life's a bowl of cherries",
with two cherries holding the 'and',
then on the inside "sometimes it's just the pips"

I love Giggle Greetings and Moon Lake

Happy Weekend

Note Card Bag

Thought I'd share some of the projects from a recent training day.

My make n take was combined with my swap,
in that, I supplied instructions and supplies,
to make one of these lovely bags, that's very popular at the moment.

I found fabulous instructions from Chiaki Haverstick,
which I adapted slightly.
We all tried a different way to attach the handles,
and different trims

See Jan's version HERE

I used Ribbon border Punch,
and attached the ribbon through holes made using a die
from Chalk Talk

Then made some cards using SU Note Cards,
and Painted Petals

I cased all the designs from a blog hop some colleagues did,
see Kim's blog HERE,
and see her Hallett bag HERE,
it's a simpler bag, but stunning all the same,
and fab stamping and colours.

There were some lovely ideas,
I particularly liked folding Itty punched flowers in half to add dimension

The cards fit nicely in the bag, to make a lovely gift.
Sorry this is a bit picture and link heavy,
but I wanted to acknowledge all the designers.

I'm not mentioning the tooth, coz I still feel crap rubbish
am hoping the antibiotics (which are making me feel sick yuk) will help.....soon!

Thanks for dropping by,
hope this has helped brighten what is a dull rainy day here.

Every cloud

Here's a little sympathy card for a friend who's furbaby died recently.
There's nothing one can say or do when you lose a beloved pet,
but it's nice to acknowledge the grief, that can be overwhelming.

I used the debossed side of the cloud embossing folder,
inked the edges of the cloud punched using the cup cake builder,
and glittered the raindrops, that are from the same punch,
the candle flame.

I hope in time she'll be able to laugh at my upside down raindrops!
Only I could put them upside down doh.
My excuse is I'm in a lot of pain at the moment,
and it certainly does not help my concentration.

I hope this helps you look at punches in different ways.

If you have lost a pet, I do empathise,
and hope you'll find comfort in your memories.

twothirty

Oh dear, it just goes to show,
that if you are feeling poorly, one thing that gets abandoned
is the old blog, unless of course you've been organised and scheduled posts,
which, as you can see, I have not!
I had a tooth extracted, and it's not going too well,
so I apologise if I've not visited any of you lately!

Someone who is suffering so much more than me,
is my Uncle who's wife died recently :(
she was such a dear Aunty,
very sadly missed.

Here's what I sent him:

It's a simple stencil inked with a few brown shades

Lovely sentiment.

Always nice to send a card just because you care

Have a good week
