Way to Goat....Blow Out The Candles....wheres the cake?

Hello there
this was for a friend with a lovely sense of humour....

I used a die to cut the top and bottom of the pink layer,
stitched die for the focal topper,
stamped the goat, and stamped and diecut the cake
using Way to Goat and Blow out the candles.
Then inside I used another die cut shape to stamp the other goat,
and used a second cake die cut, cut into pieces,
to show the remains of the goat's feast!

I do love this set, it's so much fun,
however there's only certain people you can call an old goat!

A Very Good Man

Hi there
I have been unable to blog recently, due to a bereavement,
but I wanted to celebrate my better half's birthday today,
so I'm back, and hoping to share some of my recent makes.
I just love A Good Man stamp set, and needed a quick and simple design,
so got out the In Good Taste papers, and cut two designs to fit the A5 card.
A little bit of colouring, and stamped greeting on fussy cut "bricks" did the job.

Sadly Mum died recently, but we managed to get her home from hospital to spend her last week,
where we could be at her side, until she was ready to go to join Dad who died last year.
It has been a difficult year in so many ways, for so many of us,
but we were so lucky to be with her in her final days.

I hope you and yours are keeping well
thanks for stopping by

Flowering Blooms Sympathy

Hello again,
today I'm sharing a sympathy card made with Flowering Blooms,
Flowering Dies, Lasting Lily and Very Versailles.

The inspiration came from Narelle Faruggia,
you can see her beautiful card HERE

I stamped the background in Petal Pink,
Embossed the strip with the Subtle Embossing Folder,
which I turned both ways ( a tip I saw), as it gives a more detailed look

I then added the stamped and die cut flowers, which I coloured with Stampin' Blends.
Some glittered enamel dots completed it.

Here's Flowering Blooms, I just love it. See earlier posts for more...

Take Care

Flowering Blooms

Hello again
I'm back with some thank you cards today.
I think Flowering Blooms may get missed in the new catalogue,
but oh my goodness it's beautiful.
Some lovely images and sentiments too.

I'm sharing the main image here.
I was going to do some colouring in, but you know what?
I didn't think it needed it, do you?
The image is so striking and full of depth,
so I decided to stamp it in two colours to show you how different it can be.

Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green (love the names!)
I wish my photos did it justice. You have to see it to appreciate.
I chose one of the sentiments, die cut it from a lovely shape,
then trimmed it and mounted it onto a full shape cut from DSP.
Hopefully you can see what I mean :)

I treated myself to some color collection sets of DSP....Brights in this case,
4 designs and soooooo useful to coordinate with.
I then decided to add some rhinestones....
guess what I coloured them with? Yep...Stampin Blends!
Works a treat for coordination....

In fact, I liked this set so much, I did a couple more....

Melon Mambo colour this time, the image is so lovely it doesn't need much more,
Do you agree?.

These were thank you cards for some of the staff at the Hospital where my Mum is, sadly.
Lockdown means we cannot visit, and it's unbelievably stressful.
However, the staff have facilitated a video chat and a comfort pebble,
plus email messages that are delivered to her.
Words cannot express how devastated we are, as she is very poorly.
I have shed tears for others whose loved ones have died alone,
and I fear we may suffer the same fate.
Fingers crossed we can get her home........

Take care,
be kind to each other,
and cherish your time with loved ones...

Fancy Phrases

Hello again.......
hope all is well with you and yours....
popping by today with a card using Fancy Phrases

I stamped in Balmy Blue, then coloured in Highland Heather, and fussy cut a few flowers,
tucking the sentiment behind,
DSP (designer series paper) is used as the background.....

I really think this stamp set goes so well with Free As a Bird....
what do you think?

I don't enter many, but I'm entering into the

Triple Cube Card

Hello
thanks for stopping by...
I'm sharing a popular fancy fold today..
Triple Cube Card.

I'd seen it on social media, then a lovely friend Rebecca
of Catnip Crafting showed us how to make one.
It looks difficult doesn't it?
But like all fancy folds....easy when you know how.
I'm sharing a few different angles.....it's like 3 mini towers,
but amazingly folds flat for standard posting!

Have a good weekend

Fathers Day Shed

Hi there
for all the dads out there, happy fathers day.
Here's a project a friend came up with.
We had lots of fun designing our sheds :)

I made it with Alan's dad in mind.....

It looked nice with the sun shining on it.....
then I noticed I could have the blue sky behind it!

Have a super sunday.....
and much love to those who are missing their dear dad.
