Way To Goat

Way To Goat is a fun stamp set that I have had lots of giggles with.

This time I stamped and cut a balloon for him to hold in his mouth ...

I stamped and fussy cut his head (no goats were harmed.....lol)

so I could add it over the top of the string.

......Then I did a double page inside to tell the tale of the cake...

I was very "brave" taking inspiration from Vicky  Hayes and hand drawing
a partly stamped image.....not brave enough to go freehand yet!
Then I made a tag, having created a pocket to slip the greeting in.

This was for a special birthday, so I hope it made her laugh as much it did me!

Snippets of Paper

I was lucky to book an online class with Kim Fee,

and she kindly shared a few extra card designs made using snippets of paper.

The Daisy one above uses squares of scrap paper,
with the sentiment and daisy also cut from snippets,
then wrapped in twine.

Below is a christmas one using rectangles of paper snippets,
with a fussy cut poinsettia fussy cut from a snippet of watercolour paper,
that has had wink of stella added for subtle sheen

I'm going to enter the Pixie's Snippets Playground, I just hope Miss Di lets me in,
as I've been playing truant for such a long time, and I can't wait to see Dudley do his new trick.
Do visit Di's blog, it's full of lovely ideas to use up those snippets.

Take care

The Gang's All Meer

I wanted to make a card using these cute Meerkats,

and beside me was the box of goodies I treated myself to from the

new winter mini catalogue.

A lot of people have used the Peek A Hoot stitched tag dies to create
apertures from the "waste".........the tags are so cute, and saved for another day.
The Have a Hoot stamps fit nicely into these shapes,
but I was chuffed when the meerkats did too!

I used a pencil to mark where the spaces would be, and stamped them on the card base,
before placing the "frame" on top.
Below shows the tag dies Peek A hoot.........
whenever I get a new set of dies, I photocopy them so I have a picture
to identify the contents.......very useful when flicking through!

Whale done

Another male card using Whale Done and the coordinating paper.

I fussy cut some seaweed and whales, then used the embossing folder for a textured background.

A fun simple card

Have a whale of a weekend

Clubhouse part 2

Hello, back again with another Clubhouse card,

this time a much quicker simpler design,

which I needed to send to a dear friend in Spain.

By using the designer series paper as the main attraction,
die cutting the topper with a stitched rectangle,
and adding a few enamel stars,
Happy Birthday to Roger!

Have a super sunday

Four Seasons Floral

Hello again

Here's a couple of cards based on Four Seasons Floral and inspiration from Mary Fish.

I love the pretty designer series paper, and the stitched die frame.

The flower was stamped and fussy cut, twine tied around the edge of the frame.

This one has two flowers, different rhinestones, a die cut sentiment,

and the twine is tied around the frame.

Have a super Saturday

Clubhouse

Hi there

I'm here with another male card using Clubhouse from Stampin' Up!

I love how versatile their sets are, and especially when used with coordinating dies and papers.

I have edged the golf ball with ink to make the embossed detail pop.

I think this would be termed a window card?

Except I have used the concept without using acetate to fill the gap.

It's very easy, you chop out the middle front section,

and use the topper, in this case the golfer, to join the top and bottom together.

I paper pieced his shirt, by stamping n paper and fussy cutting.

The fairway background is also designer series paper.

An Argyle embossing folder adds texture to the white sections.

Have a good weekend

One of the many things I hate about the new blogger....it looked ok in draft!
