Beautiful Peacock

Hello again........

whooooooooshing by to share this one........

using a free stamp from sale-a-bration,

and a technique & layout shown at one of our events.

There were some pretty ribbons for free, one had a silver thread running through,

which if you carefully pull and unravel, you can get the tassle effect,

just make sure you have hold of the end :)

I decoupaged the peacock, partly because there was an ink splodge,

and partly to glue the 'tail' behind :)

I might whoosh over to the Snippets Playground...

it's been a while since my last visit.

Springtime Foils

Hello there

thanks for stopping by.....

....to see this So Saffron card with the lovely Springtime Foil paper,

(which is more like card)

Coloured in and fussy cut one of the flowers.......

then cut a bit of petal off, because it interfered with the mechanism :)

Used the Pop Out Swing Card,

based on the tutorial by Amanda Bates at The Craft Spa

(such a clever lady and she makes things simple for us and shares everything!)

Used one of my new embossing folders to decorate the inside,

and a vertical greeting from Vertical Greetings :)

Rudolph Day April

Hello peeps,

like a lot of you, am struggling to keep up with blogging,

but did manage to do a quick card for this month's

Rudolph Day Challenge 

But, you must keep this to yourself, because I've used a new stamp set

that I got at the Stampin' Up! Onstage event,

so shhhhhhhhhhhh :)

In fact, I've used 2 new sets, one is full of corners and borders.....

the other has pretty pennants for two-step stamping and lots of cuteness.

It was meant to be one Robin.....got an ink mark,

on the almost-finished-card obvs, so added another....

So, whooshing by with my card, and whooshing off to see everyone elses cards....

Onstage Swaps April 2018

These are some of my Onstage Swaps from this weekend.

I did the ( IM) Possible Gift Box that The Paper Pixie shared some time ago.

I also did this at a few workshops, and it was very popular.

It's a bit like a one-ended cracker....and can be decorated in many ways.

The lid pulls up so you can place treats inside

in construction......the top 'collar' becomes the lid

We are now starting to look forward to the brand

Beautiful You and Brusho

This was a special make for my sister.

I stamped the girl, heat embossed her, then covered her with masking fluid.

I also placed a 'moon' mask, then added the Brusho,

dragging a bit across it with an aquapainter.

After rubbing off the masking fluid, I coloured her in with marker pens,

although I wasn't very pleased with that, could have done it better.

I decided to heat emboss the sentiment in white on black card,

and cut at an angle.

I used Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant card.

I decorated the inside, but forgot to take a pic !

Butterfly paste

Hope you are having a happy Monday!

I don't think I've shared this before....

but there again my memory is pants these days,

and it is from a while ago......

I coloured some embossing paste, and spread through a stencil,

then added some heat embossed gold hearts,

some gold glittery ribbon, and foiled butterfly.

Bit OTT but I liked it :)

Cable knit

Here's a card made a while ago for an avid knitter/crocheter,

using "Better Than Email" from Stampin' Up!

Also the Cable Knit embossing folder, which gives a fab 3-d look

I had some snippets of embossed card to use up,

and some more Snippets to stamp on and layer up

using the stitched Framelits

So I'll pop over to the Snippets Playground 

to wish them all a Hoppy Easter.......do join us....

I used a Marker pen to create the two colour tones on the stamp,

and joined up the sentiment to the yarn,

and of course added some bakers twine.
