Kicking Donkey

 Love the Darling Donkeys....

.....as I tried to "ground" him I made a little dark splodge,
but happily it looks like the shadow of his hoof don't you think??

This was inside the card..........

Watercolour Window

 Hello again

Today's card was inspired by Gail Ellis,

using the Welcoming Windows Bundle, In the Pines and Fireside Trimmings.

The Balmy Blue topper was embossed with the Tasteful Texture embossing folder.

The view out of the window used the trees from In The Pines, and a watercolour wash.
The deer (*Animal) was stamped, die cut and coloured with crumb cake.

The photo above was in direct sunlight, not as good as the first one do you agree?

I'm linking to the following challenges....Apologies I had trouble trying to share their pictures...

Pixie's Crafty Workshop

 Hello again

It's a special post today, for a special prize over at Pixie's Crafty Workshop

Here's the link to the Blog Post

Pixie' Crafty Workshop Challenge 398 you can enter to win it,

all you need is a card made with snippets......not many rules in this challenge,

so go on....have a go...........and GOOD LUCK!

Here's a couple of cards made with my copy of the prize......

I got the card layout from TheCraftSpa
a Double Z  Joy Fold card

I used quite "loud" papers for it......
but wanted to show a way of using the large sentiments
in the stamp set "Time Of Year" from Stampin' Up!

The measurements are:
Base card 11" x 5 1/2", score at 2 3/4", 5 1/2"
Layer card 9 1/4" x 3 3/4", score at 2 3/4", 5 1/2"
DSP:  Back 5 1/4" square, Front 3 1/4" square,
Front panels Two 2 1/2" x 5 1/4",
Inside panels Two 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"

You could do a christmas version with the same stamp set!

The Happy Birthday Thinlits are also very useful as a focal point, and large sentiment.

I hope this inspires you to enter the Pixie's Crafty Workshop Prize Challenge

Good Luck
Take Care

Gorgeous Grape squares in sympathy

Sad circumstances, but I do love square cards...

a double layered dragonfly.....

very simple, but enough with the paper I think?

I did add some pearls to the background...

...and some butterfly ones...

Watercolour with die cuts

 Hi there

I came across this technique that I have never tried before (that I can remember, anyway)

Using die cuts to make a watercolour background.

I happened to have In The Pines Stamps and Pine Wood Dies on my desk, whilst making up kits for class.

I was surprised to find there were a few Blog Challenges I could enter, so I gave this technique a go.
I put some ink and water on a Stamparatus plate, swooshed it about a bit with a tree die,
and made 3 inky background trees.
I then stamped and die cut one of the trees, and stamped my deer (Dashing Deer).

I used Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral for the watercolour trunks, and Terracotta for the deer.
The picture above was taken in glorious sunshine today......albeit a bit cold outside.

I hope you'll give this a go?
Meantime I'm entering the following.......

(Apologies to the above if I've missed or broken any rules )

Have a good weekend

Petal Pink

Love You Always again, sorry :)

Using inny and outy..........

I die cut an aperture in the embossed pink card...

However this one has the flower placed on top of the pink layer......
funny how they both look the same.

I sometimes see optical illusions, do you?

A square version, very simple.... love that sentiment
