Autumn Hare

 Hi there

I'm having a go at entering the Allsorts Challenge

where the theme is: Anything Autumn

I'm using a never-before-used stamp kindly given to me by a friend
so I'm also entering the NBUS challenge

The tree doesn't have a top.........it certainly wasn't me who chopped it off!....
....it comes with roots instead, which I found challenging.......

So, I stamped the tree and the hare......so far so good.....
stamped falling leaves  that I'd inked with different coloured marker pens.

Then I hunted for some little leaf-looking stamps.....tried a few and thought nah,
so ended up using the marker pens to make dots all over the ground.

Looked a bit messy by then, so I gently went over with wink of stella......hmmm

Then there's the "hollow" in the tree....should I?....eventually wimped out by gently winking the brown ink to fill in the white space.........I'm tempted to colour it with pencils?..............advice gratefully received.....!!

Don't look too close, it is a bit messy......I
like the idea, not sure about my execution!

I think the hare is looking up at whatever disturbed the branches,
and there must be fairies living in the glittery fairy dusted hollow....
in my world anyway :)

I made a square card blank, and added a couple of coordinating cardstock layers.

Take care

Blackberry Beauty

 Hi there

Today's shares are using these rich Blackberry Beauty papers.

Do keep scrolling if you'd like to see all of them :)

First up (don't laugh) using up an incomplete stag....you'd never know he has no legs,

tucked safely behind the tag, and decorated with snippets from my die cut pile.

It was inspired by Angela Meiritz-Reid of stampingbeauty.blogspot.com.

I stamped some dots on the tag....look closely and it looks like he's pooped oops!

Next is spot the difference....inspired by Liz Yuille of oldstablecrafts

same layout just different sized panels......love the gold ribbon....doesn't show up in the picture :(

which do you prefer?

Next up inspired by Vicky- Wright.com where she cut 3 different sized panels,
and separated them just slightly..........a good way of using up offcut strips.
I used Purple posy card for the top card layer.

I tucked some left-over-from-snippets-pile leaves.....think it's a bit OTT looking now,
but I do like the foil leaves that bring out the gold foil in the paper

This next beauty is from the Ephemera pack, inspired by Kim Fee......just love owls

Isn't he gorgeous?

Have a good day

Snippets and Stags

Hello....a couple more quick cards using up my snippets, and left over die cuts, embossed pieces etc .

I'm sure you don't have piles like me eh?!

Apart from the backing paper, all were bits n pieces, including the gold and "wood" strips,

the flower centre ( I save the smallest of bits in little bags!)
and even the bit of trim.....that I frayed

I'm skipping over to the Snippets Playground HERE
Do come join the fun and share your snippet busting projects!

Take Care

Bethlehem Edgelits

Hi there, hope all is well with you and yours.

I have these Bethlehem Edgelits and decided to dust off the cobwebs.....

I had some gold foil edged card bases to use up, die cut a couple of images in Navy

added a gold glittery star..........quick and simple

Next I decided I needed a whole town.......

I die cut a few , cut and layered them up, trying to give the effect of stairs and alleyways

I turned my shepherd into a third king.......no sheep were harmed :) and added a gold star again
and added a gold star again

That's two more for the pile.......I need to get cracking!

Enjoy your day

Tea Together

 Hi there

There’s nothing like tea together huh?

Well we had just that to celebrate mum in law’s birthday, in our village tea room.

I didn’t know when I made her this card, that we ‘d be having an afternoon cream tea,
But it was quite apt I think.

I like blue and white China, so I stamped in blue,
then made masks to stamp the flowers within the pot and cup.

I used Blend pens to colour the flowers, and add shading.
I stamped the card base, and added an embossed piece in the same blue.

Some gems and wink of Stella added some sparkle.
Then I found those little white hearts to represent the tea being poured with love.

Enjoy your day

Delivering Cheer

 Hi there

it's a miserable day here in the UK, so I'm here with some winter cheer!

I was inspired by some of Kim Fee's makes, and Esther Howard's too

Delivering Cheer is a fun stamp set from Stampin' Up!, it includes some nice sentiments, and can be used any time of year, and for many occasions.

I used a combination of colouring with blend pens, and paper piecing.
The parcel that looks blue is actually silver!......so dull here it's hard to get a decent picture.
I also used some vellum, as I wanted her "petticoat" to show....that full skirt needed a petticoat!
I would stamp it in a different colour next time.....the black is too harsh.
The reason I stamped it, was so I could follow the hem......I wasn't confident to just cut to fit :)

I hope you are having a brighter day!
Be Dazzling!.....

(that's the super sequiny paper behind the image....no longer available, but maybe it'll be back, as it's been sooooo popular)
