Forever Gold Negative

 Hello again

I'm glad you came back to see the results of the Brushos.

I laid some card under the previous die cut, to get a negative image,

and this was the result.

I added another gold foil die cut to the corner,

on top of a Highland Heather frame using the stitched rectangles

and tucked these leaves under the frame, adding a sentiment.
I cut the stitched scalloped rectangle down, and lined up the edges with the frame.

Forever Gold and Brushos

 Hello there

I did a lovely workshop using the Forever Gold laser cut foils,

and decided to add more ways to use these delicate designs.

One side is white, the other gold, but we were shown ideas using the white side,
which inspred me to spritz with water and Brushos.

It did buckle, but lay it flat, gently pat and leave to dry.

I loved the effect, then grabbed another design to see what it would look like.

I liked the layered effect, so carefully overlaid the gold on top,
using tiny bits of foam to raise it and create depth.

It looked good against Purple Posy card stock,
and I found a sentiment in my scraps box, that went perfectly.
It did look better in real life ;)

Come back to see what I did with the "waste"..... :)

Take care

Fireside Trimmings

 Hello again

I did promise to show you behind the blue door.....

I have been longing for a fireplace stamp set for absolutely ages,

And SU did not disappoint with  Fireside Trimmings, so I have had lots of fun making up scenes.

I do love itty bitty things, always wanted a dolls house, but that didn’t happen.

You’ve probably heard the saying about little things.....

well this does please me, I don’t mind admitting it.

I used the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (so many wonderful images, I may need another pack)
to give a wallpaper/ carpet feel, then I stamped a fireplace on one that's like tiles.
After playing around, I decided to try a Tri-Fold, cutting an A4 in half longways,
then scoring at 10cm.............the last section, being a tad smaller, makes it all fit and fold really well.
Easy peasy!

This is up for the most boring photo award :)
showing the inside..........below,........... before sentiment sheet added

a close-up.....

It was only seeing someone else's creation, that I realised what I thought was a twig/branch,
was in fact the fire basket/grate! ...............I laugh at myself a lot, (like when I put the kettle in the fridge....oh have you not done that yet?!)..........I had got out my old craft knife and carefully cut the inside of the fire out, so I could place another paper behind...........then discovered the "sentiment" rectangle,.................was in fact......to cut the back out!.........Numpty!

Still, at least the next set of cards will be easier!

Have a good weekend

Get your Skates on

 Hello

Today I'm sharing some cards I made with Free Skate,

a set from last year I didn't get to use much.

I love the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper,

and saw this idea of using the stitched rectangle dies.

Cut a rectangle from white card, and paper.
Cut the paper in two diagonally, then line it up with the white rectangle,
flipping one of the double sided papers.

I had some sentiments in my stash cut from snippets,
and a lot of the die cuts used here were from snippets of paper and foil.
I didn't match up the sentiment layers, instead I used different shapes to layer.

I cut a solid skate from white, then overlaid the detailed skate in silver foil.
It is so pretty.
Using the two for one idea means you get to see both sides of a sheet of the paper.

Have a super skating Sunday

Gift Envelopes

 Hi there

whoooooooshing by to share a very quick and simple........

Do you gift money or vouchers?

Need a quick solution?

I had these slim envelopes in my stash....Hmmmm the right size.........and a good colour for....💡
💸.........so I die cut snowy hills/trees......(Home Together Dies 153515).....
and glued them to the front.

I did have to cute twice as they were too long for the die........
they won't see the join, they'll be too busy ripping it open!
Sorry about the extra bits of white card stuck over to hide the names :)

Have a great weekend

Evergreen Forest on metallic foil

Hello

I'm back with that fabulous embossing folder again,

Evergreen Forest.

This time on Metallic Foil, and showing it can be used for any occasion.

Hopefully this shows the lovely texture.

These are the different colour sheets in the pack.

I used the well written dies and a stamped greeting, plus some twine.

Here's a couple more versions using the triple panel,
which I think came from onesmileliftsaspirit.

Some simple cards for the menfolk

Take care

White on White Dry Embossing

Hello there

I've been having an embossing theme with my class, ......that is...... dry embossing,

and this is one example that I just had to make as soon as I saw it,

at on-y-go-stamping.weebly.com

Do go look, as she has a few different ways of using

all those little white strips of card you have sitting on your desk......and I know you DO!

I also badly wanted to enter the Pixie's Snippets Playground today,

as there's an awesome prize (shhh don't tell everyone!).

The bad news is Miss Di has hurt her shoulder, (get well soon!),

the good news is we have more time to enter.

The only rule there is you have to use snippets.........this sure fits the brief!!

Here's my quick version.........such fun using all your favourite embossing folders!

I just love white on white, and the twine adds a softness to the look.

Here's some of my snippets.........use all sizes, a bit like the scrappy strip technique.
You can also weave with them!

Quick tip.........if your die cut words aren't quite right..........snip them!
See the arrow below :)

Have a great weekend

Joyful Holly with texture

 Hello again,

Another quick and simple card using Joyful Holly.

I like this two step stamp set.....stamp the outline, stamp the infill.

You can see I did the leaves, which are all attached, and then the berries are separate,

and I love the "shine" gap........little things.

This is a great one to do using the stamparatus..........perfect every time,

and wonderful for batch baking, which I shall be doing :)

I the ran it through Tasteful Texture embossing folder....and I love it!
Some gold foil layering adds a touch of class don't you think?
The inspiration for this was from staceymarsh.co.uk

I think I'll add a little sparkle to the berries next time.
Enjoy your Sunday

Evergreen Forest on paper

 Hello again

hope you are keeping safe and warm.

This was inspired by creativeleeyours.com........embossing on paper.....

the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper (150444) available in my shop.

The Evergreen Forest embossing folder (153576) just adds texture to this lovely paper,

don't you think?

Here's a close up...........another quick and simple card .......I need lots of those!

Then how about embossing some vellum, and placing it on Shaded Spruce card?
I used two stitched rectangle dies to create a frame and glued the vellum behind.
It did crack the vellum a bit, but I was lazy and didn't use quite the right sandwich,
naughty me :)

Another close up, and another quick and simple card.
Although I decided to add some wink of stella after I took the pics,
and boy does that sparkle!

Have a great weekend

Evergreen Forest

 Hi there, how are you?

Do you need any quick cards?

I absolutely adore the Evergreen Forest Embossing folder (153576),

scroll down to see how gorgeous it is just on white, on it's own,

plus you can use either side.

There are some favourite products available from last year,

including the Feels Like Frost paper (150444)

(Edited to add the inspiration came from creativeleeyours.com)

I cut one sheet (6x6") into two to make two cards.
I embossed a piece of white with the trees as the background.

I stamped (Seasons Greetings) directly onto the paper.
I may add some glitter and bling, but I think they are pretty quick and simple as they are.
Below is a close up......

Have a snoozy Sunday,
see you soon
