Sprinkling Fairy Dust

 I'm entering a new-to-me challenge

Country View Challenges

the theme A Year to Sparkle & Shine

This sparkles so much more in real life.
The background paper is so easy to use.

I stamped the hare and fairy using the Stamparatus
repeatedly to get a nice black image.

I used a versamark pen on the wand, wings, fronds,
and added sparkly embossing powder

The colours look different in different light

Snowbody better for Rudolph Day

 Hiya

I'm entering the  January Rudolph Day Challenge with these cute snowpeople

I used an offcut of Be Dazzling paper, left from die cutting a rectangle.

Coloured in with Blend pens.

I finally added a sentiment...........
My intention was to make 10 xmas cards a month..........
so far failing miserably, but below are my good intentions!

Hopefully these will end up on cards eventually!

Sweet Treats cupcake

I used the Sweets & Treats for a birthday card here.

Who doesn't like cake?

I backed the die cut rectangle with some Snippets of Be Dazzling paper,
and added some gems.

I had some white embossed on black card sentiments in my stash, which used up Snippets of black card.
The cakes were stamped on Snippets of white, coloured and fussy cut.
I also added some to the inside.

I’m skipping over to the Snippets Playground where there’s some fabulous prizes
In memory of Ruby for a dog rescue charity.

Decorative Borders

The Decorative Borders dies make great masks too.

Here I combined the cloud shaped one with Hey Birthday Chick

I stamped and masked the chicken, then used a blending brush to create the clouds,
ranking from blue to pink to yellow (as you can see, a bit heavy handed with yellow!).

I stamped and fussy cut the wings to hold the happy birthday die.
I also stamped an insert.

Dolls House

I got this die in a craft shop on a holiday last year,

I love miniatures, and thought this was good for a new home card.

I used scraps snippets of papers to "wallpaper" the rooms,
glueing VERY carefully.

I'm entering this challenge:

There's been lots of refurbishments in the playground, so please go look.

I glued some snippets of silver mirror card to paper piece the windows and mirrors.

It was a labour of love, but I enjoyed every minute, and that's what it's all about isn't it?
As well as hopefully putting a smile on the recipients face :)

Darling Donkeys Notecards

Ever since I got this stamp set Darling Donkeys,

I wanted to gift a neighbour with some notecards, as she rescued two donkeys and they are adorable.

I didn't have much time as this was just before christmas

I stamped on crumb cake notecards with black memento ink,
Then highlighted a few bits with a chalk pen

She really seemed to like my small hand made gift

Watercolour On The Horizon

I had a new stamp set and needed a quick card.

You know how you have an idea in your head.....this one turned out ok I thought.

I inked a clear block with pale green and blue,
spritzed with water and stamped the block directly onto a thick whisper white card blank,
creating a rectangle background for the stamps.

I kept to blues and greens for all the stamping, not worrying too much as I didn't have time,
which can be a good thing sometimes, makes your composition much freer and relaxed.
I tried to photograph in the sunshine,
but as usual my photography is not the best, hence the shadow line  :)

Relax and enjoy your day

Gift Bags and Book Cushions

Today I’m sharing some gifts I made for Christmas.

I have done some online basic sewing classes, and was chuffed with my lined gift/storage bags.

I then attempted a book cushion…….a cushion with a pocket to place your book.

You can then carry it to your favourite reading place.

I only used some brown paper this year and the bags were instead of wrapping paper, so very eco friendly.
I didn’t even use any sticky tape.

Lots of Tags

Today I’m sharing one of my lovely Christmas gifts.

I am so lucky to have a group of friends come to one of my classes, that club together.

One of the things I love as well, is that one of them makes a gift box, and they all make a tag.

As you can see below, the box is beautiful.

The following pictures show the tags, seven in all.
Someone had the unenviable task of tying them all to the box!

I am truly blessed.

BLACK, WHITE AND GREY

Hi there

There's a blog challenge over at AllsortsChallenge Blog.

This week it's Black, White and one other colour.

So Today I've gone with Grey as the other colour.

I used a blank card from my stash, with the grey stripes as my starting point.

A simple one for the guys, from the stamp set A Good Man.....again!

I can't help it, I love it, and find male cards hard to design.
I stamped him in black, using a white card scrap,
coloured him with grey Blend Pens,
and added my favourite-embellishment-for-all-time, the Pebbles!
These are from the new Spring Mini Catalogue, ask if you'd like a copy.

A Good Man on the beach

It was a Nephew's birthday, and I picked a favourite set A Good Man,

along with some stamps free from a magazine.

I really wanted to use some NEW embellishments from the NEW catalogue.

As soon as I saw them, I had to have the Pebbles Enamel Shapes, and Faux Sea Glass Shapes.

It's often the little things that catch my eye :)

I had to build up the scene using lots of masking and ink blending,

it was a lot more difficult than it looks, they were separate stamps.

I added the pebbles around on the sand (bottom ones hid a small mark!)

He was coloured with blend pens, white pen highlights on the sea

I decorated the envelope....

....and inside

Suite Sampler

Happy New Year!!!

There was stamp set available that contained samples of a suite of stamps.

I thought this was a lovely way to have just a few of my favourites

I stamped the main card with same coloured ink, laid some paper and stamped image
at an angle, added a few die cuts gems and ribbon.
Suite Sampler and Eden's Garden are the main elements

As I stamped on shimmery card, I gently watercoloured the image.
