Hole in one!

Well, this year is nearly over....how many are saying thank goodness?!

This card was made with love and happy memories of when my great nephew was born.
We were lucky to be in North Wales at the time...seems like yesterday...
He can't possibly be ELEVEN already!
He has very talented parents and little brother, all of whom are ace golfers.
Stuck for an idea (I find birthday card making at christmas a REAL challenge!),
I remembered a simple layout from way back........
(funny how I remember some things but not much else!)

I have some old stash of cute toppers, so stamped on it to personalise,
the rest was just punched or cut from snippets.

Would have been a good card to enter in the Snippets Playground,
oh well, I might go and play on the swings anyway!
See you THERE ?!
Do pop over to see Di's blog....you may catch a glimpse of her adorable puppy!

Peaceful Poinsettia

Firstly, apologies, as I think I've shared some things twice.
I haven't completely lost the plot, but have been very fuzzy headed with a cold.
I'm pretty sure I haven't shared these yet.

I made these pretty cards at Kim Fee's Retreat
( she's having more Retreats in the new year, so check them out HERE )

white card on white is always popular, such a clean fresh look

It was a great way to use the stamp set in different ways

that was one of my favourite sentiments from all the stamp sets

we fussy cut and decoupaged some elements

I may batch bake some of these for next year.....which is ok if, like me, you have a bad memory!
I hope this inspires you to use your sets in different ways

Dashing Deers

Hi there
I hope this finds you well.
Hopefully you're not totally fed up with christmas,
as I'm here to share just a few more cards!
Promise not many more!
These were large family cards, using the lush DSP that has copper, gold, silver foil detail,
as well as many pretty patterns....

So, I got out my heat gun and embossed some of the Dashing Deer to match.

The added ribbon gives a luxurious finish

It's been hard to photograph as a) it's  shiny foil, b) it's been so dull outside!

Hope your weekend is shiny, not dull :)
Have a good one

Beautiful Blizzard

Happy Boxing Day!
I hope you had a lovely day yesterday.

Here's some cards I made for friends.
I needed them to be quick, so got my sponge roller out,
and literally ran ink across the middle, then randomly stamped snowflakes,
all in Balmy Blue
The one above had some snowflakes added from some snippets of card,
so I'm skipping over to the Snippets Playground Challenge

I also added some detail with shimmer paint and white gel pen.
In spite of being quick I was quite pleased with them.
Just shows it's quicker to stamp a few cards than buy a box in the shop!

See you soon

Spirited Snowmen

Happy Christmas Eve

Here's the card I made for my Parents Anniversary.
I hand cut a heart stencil from copy paper.
I decided where to position my snow couple, stamped them in black.
Then positioned the heart mask, a moon mask, and masked the snow couple too,
before inking the background.

I forgot to remove the moon mask before stamping the trees,
(not for he first time!), so had to try and over-stamp the missing bit of tree.

I gently coloured in the snow couple, and added the greeting.
I didn't have much time to make it, as their wedding day was 23rd December.
The sentiments seemed appropriate, and would make a nice xmas card for the one you love.

I am painfully aware that some of you are without the one you love,
so this one is for you,
(and especially Norma and Chris).
I hope your memories bring you some comfort, and may the love you shared,
give you strength throughout the festive season.

Remember,
Love never Melts

Peace and Love

Blue Blizzards and Baubles with a Dash of Deer

Hi there
I'm here with a Bundle of Blue .....blue goes so well with the Beautiful Blizzard Bundle
A similar layout with vellum, as in a recent post, but with blue instead of grey.

Heat embossed with white and silver and Iridescent Ice, topped with glittery ribbon

Last year I bought these silver sparkly Reindeer.......they're quite large!
I coupled them with a tag and tied them on gift bags.

I even found a matching bag in my stash......do you recycle bags and stuff?
I recycle A LOT......it always comes in handy one day!

I also bought some packs of baubles, that I used on this special parcel

A matching tag and some white ribbon, I was quite pleased with this.
Until I realised two baubles weren't quite right, so I added a third ;)
much better :)

Have a great weekend..........

Healing Hugs

I'm back to share the last shoebox swap, and my favourite from Kim Fee.
Kim has the clean and simple knack, her love of soft grey adds sophistication.

Adhesive sequins are a quick and simple decoration,
white twine leaves it pure.

If you need healing or hugs, here's healing hugs for you.

Last Shoebox swaps

Hi there!
How are your preparations going?
Hopefully you are getting there.....if not, take some time out, however small.
You can then resume with a clearer head and more energy!

Hopefully these will help you relax a little.

I love this little topiary tree from Vertical Greetings.
We inked the edges, splattered it, and used a stamp to frame it.

I think this was from Emma Goddard. Do check her work out, its lovely.
The circle formed a wreath, the flowers heat embossed in white ,
coloured in and fussy cut, then gold twine added across.

I have one last one to share.....more on that next time,
as it's my favourite :)

Keep smiling, take care

Signs of Santa Memories and More

Hello there, thanks for stopping by.
Here's some quick cards using the Memories and More card packs from Signs of Santa.
I'd seen people using them, then a customer bought a pack, but didn't know what to do with them.
Always up for a challenge :) I set about these.....

By adding some gems, twine, wink of stella, and a bit of layering,
these were so quick I was amazed! Some were so cute you could just stick them on a card.

I used a few foil edged ready made card bases, and a few stamps I had in my stash

a few die cut snowflakes from glimmer paper above

All were double sided and so easy to use, I would definitely try this again.

Have a wonderful weekend
